Scary Bats and Spiders

Well the kids had a great time making the Halloween cards and it was a good job that my friend Sue came to help as at one stage we had 10 kids wanting to make dangly bats and spiders at the same time.
Here are two more of the cards featuring scary bats and spiders - Boo!!

Nanna Pauline's 80th Birthday

Here is a card that my good friend Nicky has ordered for his Nanna Pauline's 80th Birthday.
I have used the Medallion stamp, once again embossed in white EP , this time on Bashful Blue cardstock. I have used the Joy at Christmas stamp out of the Perfect Punches stampset, stamped in Bashful Blue on Whisper White, but with a 1.1/4" circle punched in Bashful Blue matted onto the middle, with an "80" white peel off on top. Whisper White satin ribbon has been used with the greeting typed on the Computer then punched using the Oval punch, matted on top of the Scalloped Oval punched in Bashful Blue cardstock.

Hope that his Nanna likes the card.

Medallion Card

Here's a card made in Soft Suede using the medallion stamp embossed in white EP with a flat back pearl in the centre, plus the Perfect Punches scalloped circle in Chocolate chip, and a sentiment layered on top of it. (the ribbon is from my stash - but Whisper White satin ribbon would look equally as good!)

Greenhouse Gala Wiper Card

This is the card that Christine and I made on Wednesday using the new Baja Breeze cardstock and ink, Pear Pizzazz cardstock, Greenhouse Gala DP and of course, not forgetting the Ornate Flowers stampset. I had to use the 1/8" taffeta ribbon in Marina Mist but I think that it blends in quite well, don't you? The greeting is from "Sincere Salutations".

And here's another view of the same card - completely flat.

Season of Joy

Today I am off to Chris's (sis-in-law) for a day of crafting - what bliss!! I love Wednesdays.
My camera definitely doesn't like reds. This card is made in Real Red, but it looks like Poppy Parade in this photo! I have used the old favourite Christmas set Season of Joy and the sentiment from the Perfect Punches. The punched Round Tab is stamped with the "merry" from the Tiny Tags set. The ribbon is the Very Vanilla 1/4" grosgrain. Don't you just love it!!

Bundle of Love

Here is another card that I made when I went up to Julies training day lasy month. The stampset is "Bundle of love" and this set will get a lot of use this year - two of my neices are expecting babies November/December and a friend's daughter is also expecting a baby at about the same time! S'exciting! Can you see the new border punch that I've used??

Lynda's little notebook

Hello everyone. What a busy two days I have just had. I had my birthday bash on Friday night, so most of the day was taken up with decorating the tables and the room up at the Masonic Hall. We ran out of Helium for the balloons, so Barry had to shoot up to Leeds after lunch and collect another bottle. The night began at 7:00 and ended around 12:30 and there were 100 guests there so it was a hectic night. It was wonderful to see everyone there, and if I missed talking to anyone, I do apologise, but I think I got round everyone. I even got a little time to do a bit of old time ballroom dancing with my Barry - which he actually enjoyed! Thanks everyone for coming along and helping me celebrate my 60th Birthday, thanks for all the cards and the gifts, but having friends and family round me meant far far more than any gift, so once again heartfelt thanks.
Yesterday, despite being completely shattered, Barry and I played golf in the morning, had an afternoon nap then went out in the evening to the Masonic Hall again - but this time for a Ladies evening. It was lovely just to sit there and be a guest this time. We had a lovely evening, but left early at 11:00 as I was falling asleep and I was driving.
So back to reality again. I have to get down to some serious crafting as I have oodles of swaps to make ready for Convention in 3 weeks time!
Meantime here is a piccie of my good friend Lynda's little notebook that she brought to the Training event in Manchester. She was kind enough to send me the instructions so that I can do this project with my crafting ladies - I think its beautiful.

Artistic Etchings

The Thursday Class ladies have made this beautiful card tonight - it is one that my SU mummy Julie showed us how to make when we had our local training day at hers last month. the ladies were thrilled to bits with it.
The cardstock and inkpads are Cherry Cobbler and Basic Black, Very Vanilla cardstock and the "Newsprint" DP, and the stampset is "Artistic Etchings"
Will post a piccie of the other card that they made tomorrow - do come back and have a peek.

Ornate flowers

I have just noticed that the posting I have just made about me and Chris going to Middlesbro has come up with yesterdays date on it! Which is real weird as I only posted it twn minutes ago!! I did the draft with the picture on it last night, and then when I actually published it, it thinks it was yesterday! There's no wonder I'm confused!!

Ornate Flowers in Poppy Parade

Today Christine (sis-in-law) and me went to Middlesbro' to see Cousin Susan. It was a good journey there, we had a few hours together with Susan talkintg non stop, had lunch together then a leisurely journey home in the sunshine! Had a lovely day.
So back to crafting!
Here the Ornate Flowers stampset has been used with Poppy Parade inkpad and cardstock, with Very Vanilla ribbon and Tiny Tags stampset.

My Manchester Training swaps

Hi everyone. I am feeling a little better today, though I have got a bit of backache now, so I am sitting with a hot water bottle behind my back - its lovely. Barry has now caught my cold and has stayed in bed all day - only getting up to eat!!
Thought that I would post piccies of the swaps that I made for the Manchester Training event - I made 36 of these - 6 of each colour way.
I used the "Cute by the inch" hostess stampset and inks and cardstock in new colours as listed below:-

Pear Pizzazz and Poppy Parade

Blushing Bride and Concord Crush

Daffodil Delight and Pacific Point

Home sweet home

Well I arrived home from my birthday cruise on Saturday evening, but have not been well since. I awoke with a sore throat Saturday morming and this developed into a hacking cough yesterday and full blown cold/flu symptoms by today. Sorry for not putting any new piccies on. but will make up for this as soon as I feel a little better.
Meantime, thanks to everyone who has sent me birthday cards, and I look forward to seeing you all at my birthday bash on Friday night.
Take care!
