Vintage/Grunge tag

Well spurred on by everyone's comments and encouragement yesterday,
I thought I would have another go  - this time something a little smaller - a tag.

The colour combo of this is Soft Suede and Pretty in Pink.
The Bigz Two Tags Die was used to cut the tag out of the pink CS
I then used the Very Vintage Wheel inked in Soft Suede.
I then sponged in from the edge with Soft Suede.
I inked a piece of Chantilly Crochet trim with Soft Suede ink.
The spiralled rose was daubed at the edges with Soft Suede ink.
The tiny butterfly was cut using the Beautiful Wings Embosslits and finished with a tiny pearl.
I also inked the pink 1/8 ribbon with Soft Suede ink to age it.
The sentiment and leaf die cut are non SU items

Vintage/Grunge

Today I have tried to move out of my comfort zone and attempted to do a Vintage/Grunge type card.
I am not too sure of whether it's any good or not, but I feel it's a worthwhile second attempt at this style.

I downloaded a sheet of music from the internet and tore, then distressed it with Tea Stain ink.
Then I two step stamped it using the new Raspberry Ripple ink and the good old faithfuls -
Early Espresso and Soft Suede, using the Greenhouse Garden Stamp set.
I layered this on an Ivory deckle-edged base card.
The sentiment is from Sincere Salutations.
Honest feedback please?

2nd Twinchie Challenge#4

Evening everyone - a little bit late in posting today - but "Better late than never" as the saying goes.
Here is my second entry in the latest Challenge.
I stamped an image from Bright Blossoms, then stamped and paper pieced the vase.
Stippled the background with Old Olive and Basic Grey.
Matted this onto a 2" square of Pink Pirouette, then paper sculpted the flower centres
and glued them inside an Itty Bitty punched flower.
Basic rhinestones for the added bling.

A teabag caddy.

Here is another of the projects that we made at our shoe box swap the other week.
This tea bag caddy was shown to us by Karen Fagelman (no blog so can't post a link)
I am really pleased with how it turned out - and can you see the tea bags in their little fancy packets peeping out of the bottom??  The base colour was Cherry Cobbler and the DSP was Twitterpated - which is one set of papers you will still be able to get when the new catalogue launches in October.

80th Birthday

Tonight Barry and I have been invited to an 80th birthday party for Herbert,
who is a friend of Barry and myself, and is also the owner of our golf club.
I needed something masculine, both in colour and design and got inspiration from a swap
that I received at Convention either last year or the year before (no name on it though).

The colour combo is Night of Navy, More Mustard and Cajun Craze with Very Vanilla.
The stamp-sets used are Circle Circus, and the sentiment is from Curly Cute.
The knot in the button is simply a sliver of card threaded through, then tied in a knot.
The 80 is peel-offs coloured with permanent marker.

A card for Edna

Edna is a past Lady Captain at our Golf Club.
At our Ladies meeting yesterday evening we were told that her husband has terminal cancer -
which came as a shock to all of us.  This couple have served the club for many years
and have always been there for everyone whenever help was needed, and have the respect of all the members of the club.  Our Ladies section thought that it would be nice to send Edna
some flowers and a card to let her know that we were thinking of her.
I volunteered to make a card for her that everyone could sign -
 and this is it.
Inside it reads .... please know that we care.

Colour combo Daffodil Delight, Real Red and Old Olive
Stamp set is Hopeful Thoughts.
Background is ink-dusted Pumpkin Pie ink.
Tiny basic pearls for the flower centres.

The flower centres are made using the circles produced when punching
with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border - a bit faffy to pick up though!

Shadow Box

Yesterday I went over to Chris's (sis-in-law) for our weekly crafting get-together.
Chris had found some instructions for making a shadow box card and we had a go at putting it together.
The next time we do it we will make it a little different.
That said, I was well pleased with the result.
Ta da!!

Colour combo - Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White.
Fun Flowers Bigz L Die used to die cut flower,
Sentiment stamped using Teeny Tiny Wishes and punched with Word Window punch.
Flourishes not SU.
This is definitely a keep for myself card - at least until I make another one.

3 more sympathy cards

Here are the three cards that I made to send to my cousins -
each one a little different and each one a different colour flowers.
Whilst I have used this design for Sympathy cards, it would be suitable for many other occasions, so whilst I am in the mood, I may do a few more and leave them blank - for emergencies!!

Growing Green

The Tuesday Craft Club made this card today, but did a few different sentiments to take home with them, then they will just add the sentiment as required.  It came in handy for me as I needed a quick Get well card, so I used my sample - will have to make another one up for tomorrows group!!

(We will lose these colours at the end of next month, and they will be replaced with a new set of In Colours)
Stampset used for background, rose and leaves - Growing Green
