Another Rose is a rose

Tonight one of my ladies did this double hexagon card using the (retiring) Rose is a rose stampset in Real red. I think it is beautiful.

Triple Octagon Card

Hello everyone.
Yesterday I went to the GNPE at Harrogate and it obviously inspired me to make a rather unusual easel card using not one, but THREE octagons!
I used the retiring "Rose is a rose" stampset and the retiring Apricot Appeal cardsrock and inkpad on Very Vanilla cardstock.
I used some of the retiring striped grosgrain ribbon, which isn't Apricot Appeal, but the So Saffron tones in beautifully.
It is nice, from time to time, to do a more complicated card, and so rewarding when you see the finished result - don't you think so too?

Last Chance for A Rose is a Rose

Here is a reminder of what it's possible to make using the lovely "A Rose is a Rose" stampset - which is another one that is retiring at the end of the month. It's a set that I have particularly enjoyed using - the two step stamped roses are particularly effective, and my craft class ladies have enjoyed using this set.
If you would like to order it - don't delay - get in touch with me today!

Two Step Stamping

Well I missed my game of golf on Saturday when it was absolutely glorious outdoors, as it was my "Open House" - still had a good time though - just missed the sunshine! Barry and I played golf yesterday afternoon, then when we got home, I cooked dinner, played Canasta on the laptop, then went to bed - shattered again! So sorry I didn't post a card yesterday.
Meantime, heres a card that uses the two step stamping technique plus loads of matting and layering and faux stitching.

Open House

Today I have had 20 ladies come visit my Open House, to spend time playing with the fabulous SU stampsets and more importantly, to see and play with the new items from the mini catalogue. I have had quite a few new faces come today and we have all had fun doing two step stamping, rocking and rolling, shimmering painting and generally "monkeying" around.
Here are piccies of the make and takes we did.

A rose is a rose

Well today Chris (sis-in-law) has been over to mine to craft for the day, but we have had a friend join us. Lisa is a potential SU demo, who got in touch with me throught the Demo finder on SU's website. She will be a demo one day, but the time is not right just yet, so we meet up from time to time and craft for a few hours together.
Here is what the three of us came up with (or my version at least). I cased this from the internet some time ago, but am not sure who's blog it was on, so I take no credit for the idea, only for the interpretation.

Don't forget to look on the website tomorrow, or tonight after midnight for the launch of the Mini catalogue. I will be posting some samples using the goodies inside over the next few days - and don't forget your invitation to my "Open House" a week on Saturday
(April 10th) - everyone welcome, feel free to bring a friend!
