Rainbow Get Well cards

One of my Tuesday ladies has a fall yesterday and dislocated  her shoulder and broke a bone in the socket joint, so today all the ladies have made her a get well card and I have posted them off to her,
so she should get them in the morning.
Here are two that I made, but I'm not saying which one I sent to her,
then it will still be a surprise
when she opens the cards!
Fabulous Florets, Hopeful Thoughts, Work of Art

Flowering Flourishes, Hopeful Thoughts, Work of Art.
Both cards use the same design, I have just changed the silhouette stamp.
The rainbow is created with the Work of Art stamp set using the following colours:
(From top to bottom)
Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango and Real Red.
Don't know which one I like the best!!
Get well soon Janet!!

Sympathy cards.

Yesterday was the funeral of my Auntie, who passed away at the good old age of 88.
Uncle Les died last August and Aunty Hilda just didn't wan't to carry on without him.
So they are re-united again, and leave behind 3 sons - my cousins.
I made each one a sympathy card, all with the same images, but in different colours.
(Needless to say I had to make these specially as I didn't have any made in advance
 - which I do try to do!)
So here they are.

Perfect Plum on Very Vanilla

Night of Navy and White

White and Night of Navy

I cut out an acetate template using one of the Floral Frames Framelits dies.
Placed it on top of my 5"x5" card and then stamped the background using En Francais stampset.
I then got a small piece of sponge and teased the excess ink off the acetate around the
border of the template onto the card, giving a nice neat edge.
I then used one of the Flowering Flourishes stamps at the top,
and the "Thinking of You" sentiment from Hopeful thoughts stamp set underneath.
I have to say that I was pleased with the effect and will now make a couple  more
ready for when needed next time - they are never easy to make.

I'd like to enter these in

Silver 2 Congratulations

Received our monthly Julies' Jems Newsletter and was delighted to read that my SU sister,
Nicky, has just promoted to Silver 2, so set about and made her this congratulations card.

This is my stampset of the moment - I do tend to use the same stamp set for a few cards,
then move on to another.  This is Flowering Flourishes, and I have been using
Sis- in- law's (Chris) up til now, but I took delivery of my own set on Tuesday,
and I think I have used it every day since.
The colour combo is Basic Black and Pretty in Pink, the Textured Impressions
embossing folder is Delicate Designs and the sentiment is from Little Additions.
So - congratulations once again Nicky - onwards and upwards!!

Flowering Flourishes

Morning all - sorry for not posting yesterday. Had a busy day and then had the children after the
school run and the rest of the family came for tea.  All in all - a fabulous time but tiring.
Today I am child minding Lucas and Lexie until teatime, then Barry and I are off to a ladies night,
so I thought I had better post early.   So without further ado, here is the card that I have made
for Liz's special birthday (you wouldn't have guessed that would you?)

This is one of the cards that I made at Chris's on Wednesday - using gilding flakes
and flitterglue - and I am well pleased with this result.
The Stamp set used was Flowering Flourishes and the sentiment is from
Teeny Tiny Wishes.
Happy Birthday Liz !
