Japan Tsunami Appeal - Charity Event

Hi everyone.
Yuki, one of the Japanese ladies who attends my Tuesday Class at Gilroyd Community Centre, has, along with some of her Japanese friends, organised a Fundraising Charity Event in Barnsley, next Wednesday 18th May, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Alhambra Centre.
If you have an hour or so to spare next Wednesday, it would be nice if you could go along and support these ladies to raise funds for the Tsunami Appeal. It sounds like a really good day out.
Yuki writes:-
"Being in England, we recently hardly hear about the massive earthquake and tsunami in Japan which happened two months ago, but there are still huge number of people who are suffering from the damage.
There are still many aftershocks every day.
Poeple who have lost everything -literally everything- are struggling to live.
As Japanese we want to do something to help them, support them.
So we set up a charity event.
We are going to stand for donation and sell some hand-made bookmarks, accessories, cards and so on...
One of our members is going to show how to do Japanese calligraphy"

Here is a mini poster with details. If you need further information, please go to
Yuki's Blog here
and I am sure she will be able to answer any queries you might have.
