Pleated Paper card - bye bye Bella Bleu

Found this design in an old Anna Griffin book and substituted the papers for the beautiful Bella Bleu and some Very Vanilla inked with Pretty in Pink using the Very Vintage wheel. Base cardstock is Pretty in Pink.

Diagonal Double Pocket card - Farewell Merry Moments

Here are a couple of cards that Chris (Sis-in-law) and I have made today using the Merry Moments DP and the tree stamp from "Season Of Joy" inked in Garden Green.
These can be used to make a money wallet for Christmas, or alternatively, other DP can be substituted to suit the occasion.

Missed me?

Well I have been a very busy bunny! Friday I finished off my swaps for the training event at Manchester. Set off at 4:00pm and got home at 11:45 p.m. so was absolutely shattered.
Here's a piccie that the lovely Lynda has posted, of her and me at the event. We had a great time and I came back with loads of swaps, and I will try and sort some out to show you tomorrow.

Another Rose is a rose

Tonight one of my ladies did this double hexagon card using the (retiring) Rose is a rose stampset in Real red. I think it is beautiful.

Thank you cards

Well I have got to make loads of thank you cards for all the people who snapped up the bargains at my Open House on Saturday. I thought that I would make use of the retiring "Tea Party" DP and Ballet Blue cardstock for these four cards. I need to do four more every day between now and Saturday to make sure that everyone receives one!

Inkdusting

On Saturday I promised to show an example of inkdusting, well I know I am a day late, but better late than never.
The technique is to load your brush (the bigger the better e.g. a shaving brush)with ink from your favourite SU inkpad and "dust" it across the card over and over again until you get the desired effect. The more you dust, the more intense the colour. The ladies on Saturday just loved it!

Make & Takes from Open House

A good way to use up retiring Designer Papers and ribbon is to make these pretty rulers with your scraps.
All the ladies who came to the Open House on Saturday were delighted with these!
The DP is Tea Party

Today's Open House

A great big thank you to all the ladies who came to my Open House today, I am sure you all had a great time and can't wait to get your hands on all the bargains you have ordered.
I am utterly shattered so I won't post the piccies of the make and takes that we did, but also I would like to thank Chris B for demonstrating the inkdusting technique - well done - we'll make a SU demonstrator out of you yet. You demonstrated it so well that Liz felt confident enough to demonstrate it to the next group of ladies!!
Thanks again everyone - til tomorrow!!

Whimsical Wings

Here's a retiring hostess stampset that has the most beautiful bird and flower, and it was made by my good friend Chris B, who came to play yesterday. I challenged her to come up with a card in retiring colours using this set. She chose Barely Banana and Really Rust - what a stunning combination!
Thanks Chris and well done!

Come back tomorrow and I'll post the second card that Chris B made.

Stuart's Nouveau Chic

Had another fella's card to make for the weekend for our good friend Stuart, so went for the good old faithfull Sage Shadow and Nouveau Chic - sadly another one of the colours and DPs that are retiring,- but there's still some left if you fancy some!
The broad (1.1/4") black striped Grosgrain ribbon will carry over to the new catalogue - yippee!

Spiced Cider and Foxy

Hello everyone. Tonight I have been all on my own in my craft room, waiting for inspiration, for a birthday card for my nephew Aaron, who will be 17, so it's not easy. I decided that I would use the retiring Spiced Cider DP as I love the colours, and I used Close to Cocoa cardstock(sadly all gone now - sold out!)and ink for the stamping. I used Foxy from "Fox and Friends" stampset - this set will be in the new catalogue, so don't worry. The ribbon is the beautiful Chocolate Chip 5/8" satin - another retiring item - if you want some, get your order in quickly.
Well I hope that Aaron will like this.

Triple Octagon Card

Hello everyone.
Yesterday I went to the GNPE at Harrogate and it obviously inspired me to make a rather unusual easel card using not one, but THREE octagons!
I used the retiring "Rose is a rose" stampset and the retiring Apricot Appeal cardsrock and inkpad on Very Vanilla cardstock.
I used some of the retiring striped grosgrain ribbon, which isn't Apricot Appeal, but the So Saffron tones in beautifully.
It is nice, from time to time, to do a more complicated card, and so rewarding when you see the finished result - don't you think so too?

Last Chance for A Rose is a Rose

Here is a reminder of what it's possible to make using the lovely "A Rose is a Rose" stampset - which is another one that is retiring at the end of the month. It's a set that I have particularly enjoyed using - the two step stamped roses are particularly effective, and my craft class ladies have enjoyed using this set.
If you would like to order it - don't delay - get in touch with me today!

True friend - only £10.98!

Hi there - long time no see. Sorry about that, but it is now getting towards the end of the golfing season, so I am hoping to do better with my blog soon. (Only 3 friendly matches and 3 more competitions to the end of the season)
This year has been a frantic one, and as lady Captain, I have been kept busy.

Here is a card made with the retiring stampset "True Friend" using the old favourite
Chocolate Chip cardstock and ink.
What a bargain this is - can you resist it?
