Another "Cheerful Christmas" card

I am really on a roll with my Christmas card production, and I am really
fond of the Cheerful Christmas stamp set ( as you may have noticed!!)
Here's another quick and easy design using this stamp set.

Colour Combo is Real Red, Old Olive and Very Vanilla - very traditional.
The imaged was inked with Stampin' Write markers, and the die cut shape is
made using the Apothecary Accents Framelits.

Cheerful Christmas

Two cards for a treat today - as I missed a few days last week!
Another sneaky peek of a new stamp set - Cheerful Christmas.

This is the original card that I made- really CAS in Real Red and White
embossed with the Textured Impressions Filigree Frame Embossing folder.

This was made by Jean from my Wednesday craft class - she couldn't wait to use this stamp set.
The die used is Apothecary Accents Framelits, and the ribbon is a retired one.
Isn't it beautiful!  Well done Jean!

Secret Garden

Went to Training Morning yesterday with Chris (sis-in-law) and had a great time.
Did some lovely projects, but we were inspired to come home and try out a different technique.

This card is made by stamping the flowers from the Secret Garden stamp set
in Versamark ink and then heat embossing with White embossing Powder.
The flowers are then coloured in using  Whisper White ink (using a Re-inker)
with an Aqua painter.  This is then allowed to dry naturally, or if you are in a hurry
it can be dried using a heat gun.
The flowers are then coloured in with the colour of your choice - above you see Midnight Muse - it produces a beautiful shaded effect with not too much trouble.
The card stock I used was Sahara Sand (which I picked up by mistake, thinking it was Crumb Cake) -
a happy accident as I think it matches perfectly.  The sentiment is from Curly Cute stamp set,
stamped onto on an Apothecary Accents Framelit die cut.
I used a length of Crochet Trim and a couplke of Basic Pearls as simple embellishments
as I thought that was all that was needed.
You can see the card that inspired us HERE on Julie's Blog.
Thanks Julie - love this card!!

P.S.  I have just realised that today is my 1000th Blogaversary-
I have done 1000 posts on my blog today.
To celebrate this event, for anyone who puts a comment on this post,
I will put everyone's name into a hat and I will send this card to the person
whose name is drawn out on Saturday.

Christine's birthday

Today is the very special birthday of yet another Christine - this time it's Christine M,
who regularly comes to my Monthly Saturday 1/2 day workshop.
(I won't tell everyone which special birthday this is Christine - your secret's safe with me!)
As I won't see her now until mid November, I had to design a card that
was pretty flat and would travel through the Royal Mail system safely and economically.
This is what I came up with.

I stamped the background on the  Rich Razzleberry card stock using Versamark
and  the grass/flowers from the Just Believe stamp set. I stamped "Friend" (from Just Believe also) in the top RH corner in Rich Razzleberry ink. I inked up the central image from the Layered Labels stamp set using a Rich Razzleberry Stampin Write Marker, and left the Hearfelt sentiment off it.
I cut this using the Apothecary Accents Framelits die.
When I had done this, I had smudged the central panel, so I had to use a punched Modern Label
in RR and layered the Just for You sentiment (cut with the Word Window punch) on top.
The only embellishment I have used is some Dazzling Details Silver Sparkle on the ends of the flourishes. (The picture's so bad you can't see it, but it really does make it sparke IRL)
I am quite happy with this - and I hope that Christine likes it.
Happy Birthday Christine - hope you are having a lovely day!!.
