Sneak Peek - Fantasy Flowers

Hello everyone - today I have some fantasy flowers to show you -
punched (mainly) using the new In Colours card stock,
most of the parts are simply punched -
parts of these are made with the triangle punch - can you spot which bits?

The new colours are:
Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey and Tangelo Twist.
I am quite pleased with how these have turned out.
What do you reckon?

Belated Birthday Card

I've done it again - I've missed someone's birthday so had to make a belated card.
I missed the post yesterday afternoon as well, so it won't go now until tomorrow!
Oh well - they do say better late than never so I hope Alex will like this card.

The colour combo is Real Red, Cajun Craze and Very Vanilla.
Once again I have used the candlelight Christmas Speciality DSP and I have used the flocked Acetate.
To fix it to the card I used double sided tape where the flowers are placed
and then attached the flowers with the brads to ensure it was secure.
Flowers punched with the Blossom and Boho Blossom punches.
Hope that you had a great  birthday Alex!!

Chris's birthday

Yesterday I went out for an evening meal with a group of ex work colleagues -
and it will be one of their birthdays on the 12th - Christine - yes it's another Chris -
I seem to be surrounded by Chris's and Christines!!
I took this card for her to open on the 12th - she doesn't blog so won't see it before then!!

I took this photo just before I went  to meet up last night so the light was really bad,
so the colours don't look true.  I used the new In colour Raspberry Ripple and Whisper White
as the colour Combo.  I used the Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions embossing folder.
I stamped the large flower from Betsy's Blossoms stamp set.  and then punched out a smaller flower
from this using the Blossom punch and stamped then cut out the smaller flower- again from
Betsy's Blossoms.  The sentiment is from Curly Cute.  Obligatory bling - Basic Rhinestones
used for centre of flower and either side of greeting.
Happy Birthday Christine!!

Autumn Leaves

I decided that I needed a break from Christmas projects and thought instead I would look to the Autumnal theme.  I decided to make another shadow box card, and made a faded rose on a heap
of various Autumn coloured leaves.  I did pop a few gold leaves in, but they don't show up on the photos.
I used the Blossom punch to make the rose, with a Vintage brad in the centre
and the Sizzix Originals Leaves #2 die for the leaves.

I would like to enter this into the LEJ Designs Challenge No 19 - Autumnal

Double Punched Blossom card

You recall that I went to our Team's all day training on Saturday.
Well I came home buzzing with ideas and inspiration.
Part of this came from one of our Team member's Inspiration Station.
Amanda has made loads and loads of cards using the scallop square die,
and seeing her designs made me visit her blog and give one of
the Double Punched Blossom cards a try.

Quarterly Training Swaps- Christmas Angel Owls

Today I am in Pudsey for our SU Team Quarterly Training Day.
We have a great day together, do some crafting, some serious business talking - honest,
have a lovely lunch with fabulous cupcakes
 - but most importantly, meet up with fellow Demonstrators and SWAP!!
The theme for today is Christmas - and we had to either do punch art
or use a non-Christmas stamp to produce a Christmas card.
Today there should be 22 of us so I have been busy making these.......
A Parliament of Owls!!

Angel Owls punched, assembled and fitted with wings

Angels stuck onto Labels Framelit Die cuts, Halos added,
 then glued onto base card.
Greetings stamped  on top left and bottom right corners.

Close up of finished card.

Best Wishes

Yet another Mixed Bunch card!  This stamp-set has turned out to be another firm favourite of mine!
Here is another card that I made at Chris's on Friday.
Chris used this design (cased from my SU Mummy Julie's Blog ) for a
make-and-take for the workshop she is doing this afternoon,
so we tested it out to check which tools and inkpads etc would be needed.
The beautifully bright Summery colour combo is Poppy Parade, Peach Parfait,
Pear Pizzaz and Daffodil Delight .
Delightful!!

Another Mixed Bunch Blossom punched card

Today I have played with the Mixed Bunch stamp-set and Blossom punch again!!
I just love the shape of this flower and you all know how much I love monochrome!
I have simply punched 3 flowers in Island Indigo and three in Whisper White
which I glued together in pairs.
I then stamped the centre flowers in co-ordinating ink (embossing the NTN one with white EP)
and then punched out this using the Boho Blossom punch.
I then stuck this onto a 1" circle in the contrasting colour.
The card is a white  DL size and I matted and layered a Next to Navy,
then a Whisper White layer which I had embossed with the Square lattice folder.
The just for you sentiment is from the Just Believe stamp-set and I layered this onto
a punched modern label of Next to Navy.
What do you think??

Heather's birthday

Today is my good friend and ex work colleague Heather's birthday, and I have made her a card
not dissimilar to Beryl's card  (see posting 29th May), but I put a Baja Breeze button on instead
and coloured the two little flowers on the base in with Baja Breeze also.

Happy Birthday Heather!!

Twitterpated Blossom

Here's a card that I have unashamedly CASEd from  my SU mummy Julie's Blog
Although mine is not as fancy as hers, I still love it.
This Twitterpated DSP is so lush - I keep using it!!
Colour Combo for this card is Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze and Whisper White
I used the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and made the Happy Birthday Banner
using the Curly Cute stamp-set. I then punched two flowers with
the Blossom Punch - one in Blushing Bride and one with Twitterpated DSP.
I put a tiny Twitterpated matching Designer button in the centre of the flower,
then punched two leaves out with the Bird Builder punch.
The ribbon is3/8" Pleated Blushing Bride Satin Ribbon.

Thanks Julie!!

Chris C's birthday

Today is the birthday of my  Stampin Up sister Chris C
(I have quite a few friends called Chris - have you noticed this?)
here's the card that I have made for her.
Colour Combo - Early Espresso, Soft Suede and Pink Pirouette.
Background is stamped with the swirl from Charming stamp set.
Do you recognise those little squares that I have used in the past- they get everywhere!!
I have stuck them onto a mat o Early Espresso and done faux stitching with white gel pen.
The flower (from Mixed Bunch is stamped with Versamark on Pink Pirouette card
then embossed with Gold EP and then punched out with the Blossom punch.
(I am really getting my moneysworth out of the stampset and matching punch!!)

So...... Happy birthday Chris C
(Chris B - see tomorrow's blog!!)

May thank you

Every month I make little thank you cards for my customers, and I don't write on them, then ,
if they wish, they can recycle them and send them to someone else.
Here is one of the ones that I made for this month.  Its very CAS, but I think effective.
Onto a White 10cm square card base, I have glued a smaller mat of Blushing Bride card stock,
that has been stamped with the swirl from Creative Elements in Riding Hood Red ink.
The flower has been punched using the Twitterpated DSP (is this not lush!!!) and the Blossom punch,
then smaller centres have been punched with the Boho Blossoms punch.
As I said before - simple but effective.

Poppy Parade

Hello everyone.  I have had a lovely play this morning, making this card featuring what is supposed to be a poppy!  I am not sure about the similarity, but am pleased with the overall card.
Colour Combo: Poppy Parade, Basic Black, Very Vanilla and Old Olive.
Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder used with VV card stock and then softly inked over with a dauber and Basic Gray ink.

The leaves are made using the Little Leaves Sizzlit die and the Blossom punch is used for the poppy. I sponged around the edges of the petals with Black ink.
For the centre of the poppy, I attached stamens round a 3/4" circle of Black, and then punched an Itty Bitty flower out of yellow and inked over to give the centre detail.
Designer Frame Textured Impressions embossing folder used for the Poppy Parade Frame.
Sentiment stamped on Black using Versamark and White embossing powder.

Timeless Portrait DSP

I saw a scrapbook design recently on Jo Dumbleton's blog and just had to make a card using these papers.
(I am not yet into scrapbooking but could fill a small library with the DSP that I own!!)
I just love the colour combo of Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black and Very Vanilla.
The flower is punched using the Blossom punch and the Modern Label punch - the centre is a ribbon flower that I made (not impressed with it though) and a beautiful Vintage brad.
The leaves are made with the Bird Builder punch.
The knot-less bow uses Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding with a black brad.

Training Swaps

Today its our Training Day at Pudsey with SU mummy Julie.
There will be 29 of us there - I am taking Chris (sis-in-law) and her SU daughter Julia.
We are all taking swaps, so you can guess how busy I have been making these.
Here are mine.
I easily get bored, so I made 10 in each colour - I used the In Colours Wisteria Wonder, Calypso Coral and Pool Party.
I used the Scallop Edge Border and Scallop Trim border punches with the coloured card-stock, Whisper White and DSP to make the "frills" at the top.
The flowers from the Summer Mini stamp-set (Mixed Bunch) were stamped and embossed using Versamark and White Embossing powder.
Then they were punched out using the new Blossom punch.
I put a coordinating Designer Printed Brad in the centre of each flower and raised them on dimensionals.
To finish off I stamped a sentiment from Its Your Day in coordinating ink.
No bling necessary today - clean and simple - and I love them - hope everyone else will!!

I shall keep these three for myself!!
