Well - Hello Doily again

I just love this stamp, my latest acquisition - I have had my money's worth out of it already!
This is for an ex work colleague and fellow crafter, who I don't see as frequently as I ought
- its her birthday on Saturday so this is a combined birthday and thinking of you card-
just to let her know that she is not forgotten.

Stamp sets are Hello Doily and You are loved (floral spray and sentiment)
Colour combo is Midnight Muse, Old Olive and Whisper White.
Doily is stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
Floral spray is inked with Stampin Write markers.
Another CAS card for my good friend - you know who you are-
Happy Birthday for Saturday!!

Hello Doily for my sweet friend

This month I will be kept really busy as I have quite a lot of birthdays, male and female,
so I have made a start today on one of my female friends birthday cards.

A really CAS card that looks a million dollars - don't you think?
I saw something similar using the retired Medallion stamp and thought this would work just as well.
Colour combo is Riding Hood Red (which will retire shortly), Whisper White and Old Olive.
Stamps used are - Helly Doily, You are loved and Petite Pairs.
The doily was stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with White embossing powder.
The flower spray from You Are Loved was inked up using Stampin' Write marker pens
in Riding Hood Red and Old Olive. Then this was die cut with the Circles Die (now retired).
The 2.3/8" scallop circle was punched and glued behind this.
This was raised up on dimensionals
The sentiments were both also stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with white EP.
I think I might well try this in different colourways.

Live, Love, Laugh

This morning was my monthly Saturday morning workshop where various projects have been made today.
Cheryl and Sheila did the Warm Winter Wishes wall hanging,
Carold D and Ann made the Christmas Ornament Keepsake,
Chris (yes - another Chris!) made Live, Laugh, Love wall hanging, but with a twist!
You can see my original version HERE
and see Chris's version for a fella below.

Hasn't she done a great job of this!!

You are loved Twinchie

This stamp from You are Loved just fitted nicely onto the regulation 2" square, so I went with it.
I inked the stamp up with Stampin Write markers using Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive ink.
I used the sentiment from Tiny Tags and the 3 tiny red pearls are from my stash.
This was then matted onto a Cherry Cobbler card stock square.

I would like to enter this into
Show us your Twinchies Challenge #6 - Add a stamped image.

Live, Laugh, Love.

This is another wall hanging that I have made based on Sally-Jo's original idea.
The base cards are cut with the Top Note Die and the background stamp is from Creative Elements.
The heart and flowers are from the You are Loved stamp set which will be making a come-back
in the Annual Catalogue on 1st October - Hurray - I love this set!
The flowers were stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink.
The heart was stamped in Whisper white onto Cherry Cobbler card stock
and heat embossed with White EP, then cut out by hand.
The butterflies are cut out ods Cherry Cobbler card stock using the Beautiful Wings Embosslits die.
The little hearts were punched using the Small Heart punch and raised on dimentionals.
The word were stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink on Whisper White using the Letter It stampset.
I used some Cherry coloured thin ribbon from my stash to fasten the 3 pieces together.
(Another one that I will keep for myself!!!)

A different Wedding card

A new lady, Lesley, joined the Tuesday class this week
and asked if she could make a wedding card for her daughter
- and that her favourite colours were blue and orange.
I wasn't too sure about this colour combo. so suggested that she might
want to introduce a little Ivory/Cream into the equation.
This is the card that we came up with between us.
Lesley was thrilled to bits with it and is certain that her daughter will love it!
The heart (from the You are Loved set) was stamped in Versamark
then embossed in gold embossing powder.
The couples initials were cut out of Gold Mirri card
using the Timeless Type Junior Alphabet.
Medium Sizzlits dies
Ta da!!

Happy Birthday Karyn

Today is my Stampin' Up! sister Karyn's birthday.
For her card I have used Crumb Cake and Whisper White cardstock.
I have cut out the white with the Top Note Die and stamped both Crumb and White with Crumb Cake ink using the You are loved stamp-set.(Don't you just love it?)
The sentiment is from Sincere Salutations and the butterflies are cut with the Beautiful Wings embosslit. Obligatory bling today is Basic Pearls.

February thank yous

I've tried to get ahead of myself by starting to make my February thank you cards for my Stampin' Up customers and guess what - I'm back in monochrome mood - fancy that!!

I have used the rose from You are loved and the Love Blossoms wheel to make this little beauty. Colour Combo - Basic Black and Whisper White.
Enjoy!

Don't know why this looks like Night of Navy, because its Basic Black that I've used - my photography skills are rubbish. Good job that it's crafting that's my hobby and not photography!

Valentine's Day Card

Hello everyone - hope that you had a Happy Valentine's Day yesterday.
Here is the card that I made for my beloved Barry.
The sentiment was computer generated in a square pattern.
Various layers of Whisper White and Cherry Cobbler were layered along with a layer of Whisper White stamped with Parlor Prints in Cherry Cobbler.
The top layer is stamped in Versamark and White embossing powder on Cherry cobbler - with the heart from You are loved.
Still just a big softy at heart!!

You are loved again!

This is a stampset that I wasn't sure about, but I find myself using it more and more. (Don't laugh but I have just had to go back on that sentence and put in all the "i"s, as there was a crumb stuck under the key so even though I was typing all the "i"s, there wasn't a single one there!!! (must make a mental note not to eat toast when using laptop!!)
One of my Thursday Craft Class ladies, Jan, liked the monocrome card that I made earlier in the week, but thought it was rather funereal, and wanted to try it out in bright cheerful colours. She used the markers to ink the roses with, in Old Olive and Real Red on Whisper White. This was then stuck onto a panel of Old Olive edged with the Scallop Trim Border Punch, then stuck onto a base card of Whisper White.
Result - beautiful! Well done Jan! Fancy becoming a demonstrator??

Lisa's birthday card

Tomorrow is my friend Lisa's birthday - I can safely post this today as she hasn't time at the moment to blog watch!
This card uses Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock, Whisper White Craft ink and Basic Black ink, white embossing powder, You are loved stampset and the sentiment is from Sincere Salutations. Just perfect Alphabet stampset used for the rest of Lisa's name - the "L" was cut out of Whisper White and then I used the Love Blossoms wheel to decorate it.
As you will have noticed from recent posts - I am back in my monochrome mood!!
