Scribbled Happy Birthday for Cara

Here's the card I mad for my friend Cara who's birthday was on Friday.
Couldn't post this til I knew she had received it,

It's another resist emboss technique using blender pens and In Colours inks:
Primrose Petals, Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit and Raspberry Ripple.
Ink scribbled over sentiment from Perfectly Penned, stamped
in Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder
Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and Basic Rhinestone embellishments.
These colours will be replaced with new ones when the Annual Catalogue launches in July
so I am making the most of them while they last.
Hope you had a great day Cara! xx

Celebrate Today - WWWU#9

I made this card yesterday after reading that fellow Crafty Blogger,
Stephanie from Daily Crafts had decided to quit smoking, so I made
this card for her to hopefully encourage her to keep it up
(I am an ex smoker who quit over 12 years ago!)

It was also made for our weekly colour combo challenge.
This week the colours selected were:
Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Garden Green and Pacific Point.
The sentiment is from Perfectly Penned
and I am sure you know this off by heart now,
for the flowers - the Petite Petals stamp set and matching punch!
Leaves cut using the Bird Builder Punch.

Stephanie - if you are reading this - please email me your address
and I will post this off to you!!

And there's more.......

...more of the So Very Grateful creations - the ones that Chris and I did together on Wednesday.

Chris's Card

My card
White base card, Crumb Cake card, stock, So Very Grateful stamp set inked in Versamark
and heat embossed with White embossing powder.
Images inked with Strawberry Slush and Old Olive inks
and sentiment from Perfectly Penned stamped in Strawberry Slush too.

I think that Chris's looks more crisp than mine, but I am happy with the result.

Two of my favourite stamp sets of the moments (if you hadn't noticed!!)

so easy to create these beautiful little flowers)

and the sentiment is from Perfectly Penned.

Happy Birthday Emma!!

but we have used different colours for the base card -

Congratulations Mavis!!

Mavis, who reached Bronze 2 in January.
Here it is.....

The colour combination on this is - Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana,
Crisp Cantaloupe, Strawberry Slush and Pistachio Pudding.
Once again I have used Petite Petals to stamp the flowers and then
cut them out using the matching punch.
I used sentiments from 2 stamp sets - Congratulations from Sweet Essentials
and Celebrate Today from Perfectly Penned.
The background was created using the Gorgeous Grunge stamp-set.
Tiny Basic Pearls used for the flower centres.
So ... once again - Congratulations Mavis!

Flower Shop thank you

Today's card has been cased from one of my fellow Jems-
but I am not sure who it belongs to - I saw this on our facebook group
where some of the cards from Saturdays training were displayed..
Perhaps the owner will let me know and I will link it back to their blog!!
Hurray! - this was Amanda's inspiration and her blog is
HERE

The colours used are 3 of the new In-Colours
Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe and Baked Brown Sugar.
Stamp set used is Flower Shop and I have used the Pansy punch
to cut out two of the flowers and layered them on top of the originals.
The sentiment is from Perfectly Penned.
The ribbon is Stretch Ruffle trim, also in Crisp Canteloupe.
The Flower centres are simply 1'2" circles, punched and shaped.
(All products used are Stampin' Up!)
I love it!!

Sponge and Spritz

Chris is back from holiday now, so we had our usual play day together!
I have really missed her whilst she has been away, so it was good to have her back
and we have had a good old play today.
One of the techniques we tried out today was featured on Splitcoaststampers
and it's called "sponge and spritz"
Here's the two cards I made

This is sponged and spritzed

This is sponged, but I forgot to spritz!! Doh!!
Colour combo is Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight on the first card
and Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive on the second.
All the stamping was done in Black.
1st card stamp sets are Lovely as a Tree, Best of Flowers and Perfectly penned.
2nd card stamp sets are Hopeful Thoughts, Best of Flowers and Perfectly penned.
The birds are hand drawn!
Really enjoyed making these.
