Two for the price of one!

Well I have had a busy day today, but found time to make a couple of quick and easy cards.
(Then I forgot to post them until now!)
So I'll show you both of them.
Basically it's the same design, but one in Silver and the other in Gold.

Tree - Gold heat embossed , Gold Glimmer paper star and tiny pearls

Tree - Silver heat embossed, Red Glimmer paper star and tiny gems
Stamp sets used:  once again it's Festival of Trees - this set has really earned it's money!
Sentiment is from Wondrous Wreath
I used my Simply Scored Board to make the borders on each side.
CAS I know - but I think they are quite classy.

And there's more!

Yes - another card using the Festival of Trees stamp set.

Trees are stamped in versamark  and heat embossed with Silver embossing Powder.
The strips of paper are scraps left over from retired DSP - too beautiful to throw away!
Greeting from Ornamental Pine stamped in Versamark and heat embossed
with Pool Party embossing powder.
The stars are punched from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper then coloured with
a Pool Party Stampin' Write Marker pen.
I do love my blue Christmas cards!

Festival of Trees ......with scraps!

Today I have been making my Christmas cards in earnest and am happy to report that I have made 6.
These have been quite CAS cards, but I think that they are quite effective.
The basic colours are Pool Party, (Blue again!!) Silver and White
and I have used some scraps of last Christmas's Designer Series Paper
that I just couldn't bear to throw away - I am so glad I kept these scraps!

The stampset is Festival of Trees and the sentiment is from the Wondrous Wreath stamp set.
The tree and sentiment is stamped with the  Silver Encore ink pad.
No bad for scraps eh!

Northern Flurry with punched trees

Here's a card that I made with Chris the other week using the Tree punch
with paper from the Trim the Tree DSP stack and
Northern Flurry Embossing Folder,

Colour combo is Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, White and Gold.
the stars were cut using the Itty Bitty Accents star punch,
The sentiment is from the White Christmas Polymer stamp set-
can you see that I have curved the sentiment?
You can do this with the polymer stamps - very versatile!
The only embellishment was a spot of Gold Glitz Dazzling Diamonds
in the centres of the embossed snowflakes.

Festival of trees

Chris is back from holiday now so we have spent the day together crafting.
Here's what we have made.

The photo really does not do justice to this card. The gold Season's Greeting
sentiment doesn't show up on this very much at all.
The colour combo is Blackberry Bliss, Gold and White.
The stamp set is Festival of Trees and the sentiment is from
Bright and Beautiful.
I really love this card!!

Another sneaky peek of Festival of Trees

Here is one of the cards that I promised to post from the get together with Chris and Anita -
here is Anita's design - another sneaky peek of one of the new stamp sets
that you will be able to order from the 28th August - not long to go now!

This is a polymer stamp set so it it is so easy to do two step stamping accurately.
Colour combo is Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and White ,
with a little Gold Glimmer paper (the stars) and Gold Stampin Glitter (the tinsel)
with the addition of Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details.

Festival of trees

On a happier subject today - Christmas!!
Yes I am determined to get plenty of cards done well in advance of the 1st December this year.
Today was my day to go to Chris's (sis-in-law) and craft and we were joined
by Chris's friend and Stampin Up down-line - Anita.
We had a lovely day together crafting, and we went out for lunch to celebrate Anita's birthday.
We each designed a Christmas card using Festival of Trees stamp set.
Here is mine

Sorry for the poor quality of the photo, but it has been taken tonight in artificial light
I'll take another one tomorrow daytime!
The Colour combo is quite contemporary - Black, White and Cherry Cobbler.
The star was punched in Red Glimmer Paper using one of the Itty Bitty Accents punches.
I have highlighted the centres of the flowers with Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details -
not sure whether or not this shows up.
I am really pleased with this one.
I will post Chris's and Anita's cards later this week!!
Watch this space.
