Fresh Prints

Another card for a man today - similar design to yesterday's but different papers -
this uses the Fresh Prints DSP stack and the colour combo is
Cherry Cobbler, Coastal Cabana and Crumb Cake
(I actually made a mistake with the colours as the red on the papers is Real Red,
but because I didn't read what the colours were I ended up using Cherry Cobbler - doh!)
I don't know whether it's obvious or not - you tell me!

The sentiment is from Label Love and this was stamped then fussy cut out and matted onto
a  punched out Artisan Label in Cherry Cobbler.
Triangles were punched with the Triangle punch (would you believe that!)
in all three colours.

I punched out 3 faux brads made with a 1/4" circle punch in Red Glimmer paper.
I think I'm on a roll with mens' cards!  I'll see what I can come up with tomorrow.

Training project 3

Here's the third project that we made at this month's Training.

The Petal Parade stamp set was used to created the background on this card.
The Artisan punch used to punch the sentiment from Label Love.

Anne-Marie's birthday

Yesterday was my baby sisters birthday
(she's 14 years younger than me so that makes her the baby of the family!)
It was also Lexie's birthday yesterday , but I was so busy making her a birthday tea
for the family, that I forgot to photograph her card before I sent it!!
Will have to wait until I go down to their house and take a photo then!
Meantime - here's Anne-Marie's card.

This is a card that I made at monthly training on Wednesday,
but I just used the reverse side of the DSP as I liked this side better!
If you take a peek at Julie's blog here you can see her original version
and the matching box that we made.
Anne-Marie's pressie wouldn't fit in the box, so I have kept it for me!!

A Wedding Gift for Hooley

My Daughter-in-law Kerry came up with  an idea for one of her friend's Wedding Gift.
She collected phrases and sayings associated with Hooley,
then asked me how to go about putting these together.
This is what we came up with.
We are very happy with it.

I stamped the letters in Black on White card  using the Morning Post Alphabet stamp set
and punched them using the Artisan Label punch.
We then had the mammoth task of putting these together
on a canvas which I had painted with Black Acrylic.
Simon helped us with this task, so thanks Simon - we appreciated the help.
It took us the best part of an afternoon to put this together.
We then decided to die cut the letters and numbers in White cardstock to add the date.
Think that it just finished it off nicely.
What do you think??

Janice's Birthday

Tomorrow is my sister-in-law Janice's birthday.
Here's the card that I have made for her.

Now Janice loves red, so the colour was easy to choose - Real Red!!
I haven't done a red on red card before, so was anxious as to the result.
I needn't have worried as it turned out fine.
I embossed the second layer of red card with the Mosaic Embossing Folder.
Once again I have used the Gingham Wheel - it's proving to be a favourite.
I also used the Needlepoint Border Textured Impressions Embossing folder
I die cut the initial and stuck it onto an Artisan Label punched shape.
The flower was made using the fabulous flower mold and Simply Pressed Clay-
these are so simple to make - Lexie (age 6) has made quite a few already!
The leaves were punched with the Bird Builder punch.
A few Basic Rhinestone embellishments and job done!
Happy Birthday for tomorrow Janice.

Gingham wheel and Vellum

Today's card features another sneaky peek of a new product from the new catalogue
(launches on 2nd July!), the Gingham wheel.  It also lets you see two of the new
colours - Pistachio Pudding and Smoky Slate, and another stamp from the
Label Love stamp set and matching punch - Artisan Label.
Think that everything else you have seen before.

I've taken another picture this afternoon (Tuesday) in natural light.
I think that you can just see the embossed stitching done with the
Textured Impressions Needlepoint Border Embossing folder.
The leaves are cut in vellum with the Little Leaves Sizzlit.
I saw this card on Pinterest and fell in love with it,
so had to case it froMiriam's blog here

Another Telford Project

Here's the third of my Telford Display projects.

This started life as a cheap wooden wall plaque.
I heat embossed the edges with gold embossing powder - taking care not to set fire to the wood!!
I then stamped and  heat embossed the little teddies and duck with gold EP too.
I stamped and embossed LUCAS's name in gold and then punched out the
letters using the Artisan label Punch.
I punched out Lucas's baby photo with the same punch and layered this onto Brushed Gold card.
which I then fussy cut  round the lable shape.
This was then glued onto a  flower made with the Blossom punch.
I stamped the sentiment using the Label Love stamp set and heat embossed in gold
then punched with the Artisan Label punch and glued onto a Blossom punched flower.
I tied little ribbon knots onto the rope with Whisper White 1/4" stitched Grosgrain
ribbon and 7/16" Natural Trim ribbon.
Once again - it's a project that's outside my comfort zone, but I was very pleased with the result!

Telford Display - Scrapbook Page

Here's the scrapbook page of my niece's wedding day, that I made for my display table at Telford
last month - using the Label Love stamp set and the Artisan Label punch.

Colour combo is Black, White and Brushed Silver
The Morning Post Alphabet stamp set  was used for Emma and Tony's names.
I used the Lattice Bigz die for the two corners embellished with Basic Rhinestones.
Butterflies were cut in Silver and White using the Beautiful Wings Embosslits die .
This is the very first scrapbook page that I have ever made - I am quite proud of it!
