Bloom with Hope - birthday

Today I have used the Bloom with Hope stamp set again -
you may recall that I made a few Sympathy cards using this set last week.
Today I have used this set for a happier occasion - a birthday,
I did mention earlier that August was a busy month for birthdays.
I won't say who this card is for - as it might be for you!!

Simple colour combo of Real Red and Very Vanilla,
with a tough of gold glitter for the flower centre.
I stamped the blossom onto Real Red card with Real Red ink, twice,
then fussy cut them both out, and shaped them and layered them using a dimensional.
The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes cut with the Word Window punch
and layered onto a punched Modern Label .

New In Colours, Work of Art, Thank you's!

Here is a selection of this months thank you cards that I give to customers with their orders.

Lost Lagoon, sentiment from Four You

Hello Honey - sentiment from Four You

Blackberry Bliss - sentiment from teeny Tiny Wishes.

Tangelo Twist - sentiment from Four You

Hello Honey and Mossy Meadow - sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

All the cards were made using the Work of Art stamp set and the little shamrock is punched with one of the new Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. Where there is a central flower featured  this has been
stamped with petite Petals and cut with the matching punch.

The colours are not true to life in these pictures - they look quite dull,
but in reality they have strong earthy tones.
That said - I am quite pleased with the results!

Easter aperture card

I am really enjoying making these aperture cards, so I thought that I would
design an Easter card using this technique.

I am highly delighted with this CAS Easter card.
The aperture was cut using one of the Squares Collection Framelits.
Sentiments from Teeny Tiny Wishes and Express Yourself.
Flowers stamped in Crushed Curry ink using the Petite Petals stamp set
and cut with the matching punch.
Basic Rhinestones for flower centres and leaves cut with Bird Builder Punch.
My Tuesday ladies really enjoyed making this quicky Easter greetings card today.
(Probably as much as I did too!!)

Merry Minis

I had forgotten that I had this stamp set and matching punch, so felt guilty that I had hardly used it.

This card measures 10 cm square, so you can see how tiny these little stamped
Christmas tree are - they are approx 15mm high!!
I do think that they are cute.
The trees are stamped in Always Artichoke and Night of Navy-
these are from the Merry Minis stamp set and are cut out with the matching punch.
The star punch is from the same set of punches and is c punched with Silver Glimmer Paper.
the little pot is stamped in Cherry Cobbler and is from the Pennant Parade stamp set.
Sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Clockworks

Have been playing with a stamp set that I think will be suitable for mens' cards today.
At our next all day training, our swaps have to be Male oriented, so I thought
that I had better get a bit of practice in.

The colour combo is Rich Razzleberry, Soft Suede, Gold and Pewter (on an Ivory base card)
The stamp set used is Clockworks.
Some of the images I have stamped in Rich Razzleberry and others I have heat embossed
in either Gold or Pewter embossing powder.
The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.
All products are Stampin' Up!
I am quite pleased with this as a first attempt - what do you think?

All the flowers are made using various sized scallop circles, plus the Boho Blossom punch.
The Oval frame is cut using the 4th and 5th Ovals (from the centre)
 of the Ovals Collection Framelits.

Just Believe

Here is a different version of yesterday's card which proves how different a card can look
when you change the colour combination.
This is a straight copy of Chris's card - bless her!!

The colour combination this time is Basic Gray, Primrose Petals and White,
and the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

The Open Sea

Here's a card for a man - the ones that take ages to come up with an idea for!
Now I can't take credit for the design of the stamped background as Chris (sis-in-law)
stamped a sheet of this last week at my house and kindly gave me a half of it.
I can tell you how it's done though!!

The colour combo is Crumb Cake card stock
with Night of Navy, Marina Mist, More Mustard and Basic Grey inks
and an Ivory base card .
The solid rectangles were stamped with a blank stamp in Marina Mist, More Mustard and Basic Grey.
(Chris used the one that comes with the distressing kit)
The over-stamping was done using Night of Navy and The Open Sea stamp set.
The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and was stamped
either side of the anchor by using the Stamp-a-ma-jig.
This was  then embossed using the Textured Impressions Designer frames embossing folder.
The oval shape with the sentiment on was then cut out by hand -
sorry there isn't a punch for the outside of this oval (only the inside!).
The stamped background is matted onto the crumb Cake card and a length
of Natural Trim ribbon (available 1st February) is then stuck vertically around this.
This is then mounted onto an Ivory (or Very Vanilla) base card.
The ladies at my Tuesday class can't wait to make this!

Rosemary's birthday

Tomorrow is my golfing friend and Tuesday Crafting  lady - Rosemary's birthday.
Here's the card that I am giving her.

Colour combo is Melon Mambo and Whisper White.
The background is done using my favourite Creative Elements Stampset.
I cut a Sizzlits Large  Paper Doily in Shimmer White (but I don't think you can tell from this photo!)
Then I used the Fancy Flower punch for the outside petals
and made a ribbon rose for the flower centre.
I spritzed the rose liberally with shimmer (but don't think this shows up either!)
Used the modern label punch to frame the sentiment (from Teeny Tiny Wishes)
which was stamped and punched using the Word Window punch.
Happy Birthfday Rosemary!!

Maggie's retiring!!

Today is my lil sister Maggie's last day at work.  I hasten to add that she is retiring early,
as she is 5 years younger than me- and she would kill me if I didn't mention that!
We are all going out for a Chinese meal tomorrow evening to celebrate.
Here is the card that I have made for her.

I have used a different colour combination and style to my usual ones.
I have used Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Baja Breeze on Whisper White.
The Stamp Sets used are Papaya Collage and En Francais.
The Sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.
The photograph really doesn't do the card justice, but I am sure you can get the effect!

Here's wishing you a long and happy retirement Maggie!!
Love ya!

Embellished with tiny Basic Rhinestones and the sentiment is from teeny Tiny Wishes.

Dale's Birthday

It's my baby sister's partner's Birthday on Saturday, so today I have made this card for him.

rollering with a combination of Chocolate Chip and Early Espresso ink.
The owl is punched using the Owl Builder punch ,
Dale is stamped using the Letter It stamp set in Midnight Muse.
The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

With Sympathy

I took a phone call this morning to let us know that my Uncle Les passed away last night. He has been ill for some time, in residential care and leaves behind my Aunty and 3 cousins plus 4 grandchildren.
This is the card I have made for Aunty and I will do one for each cousin later today.

This card is cased from Vicky's blog a fellow SU demonstrator
Thank you for the inspiration Vicky!!
The colour combo is Melon Mambo, Old Olive and Whisper White.
The background I stippled with Old Olive and Basic Grey.
I stamped the flowers with the Reason to Smile stamp set
( free with a purchase of £60 until the end of August)
then coloured this in using Stampin' Write markers.
I reverse stamped the flower facing right and cut another flower head to decoupage on top.
I daubed the edge of the stamped layer with Basic Grey ink.
Stamped the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Basic Grey
and added a bow with the Lucky Limeade, Everyday Enchantment Organdy ribbon
(this was free with a purchase of £45 during July)
