Tiny rhinestones are the only embellishment used.

Festival of Trees - again!

Yes it's Festival of Trees stamp set again!
The stamp set and matching punch make it quite easy to make very CAS
but still effective cards quickly - and I have to make a few quick cards
because of the number that I send out.

I cased this card from Pinterest, but have changed the colours totally.
Really simple colour combo - but quite classy I think - Gold and Very Vanilla
(even though in the photo it looks to be a white base card and background!)
I used Watercolour Wonder Washi tape,
The sentiment and the tree were stamped in Versamark and embossed with Gold EP.
(Sentiment from Petite pairs)
Itty Bitty Accents star punch used with Gold Glimmer paper.
Gorgeous Grunge stamp set with Gold Encore ink for the splats
and the finishing touch was 3 gold sequins from the Gold Sequin Trim.

More Endless Wishes

I really am now getting to grips seriously with my Christmas card challenge to myself!
I resolved that I would not be caught out again this year,  making masses of
Christmas cards in the first two weeks in December.
That said .... here's the latest one in the Endless Wishes series.

The colour combo is Night of Navy, White, Silver and Iridescent Ice.
The snowflakes are from the Endless Wishes stamp set and the sentiment
is from Petite Pairs, stamped in Versamark and embossed in Silver EP,
along with one of the Four Frames stamps, which was then punched out
with the Decorative Label punch.
All the snowflakes were stamped with Versamark, then
the large ones were embossed with White EP,
the medioum ones were embossed with Silver EP
and the small snowflakes were embossed with Iridescent Ice EP
The only embellishment is the White satin ribbon - I didn't think it need anything else.
I'm very pleased with tyhis little number too!!

Endless Wishes

Back to my Christmas cards again today - did a couple more designs -
here's the first one, using the Endless Wishes stamp set.

The colour combo is Pool Party, Silver, Gold and White.
The sentiment is from Petite Pairs stamp set, stamped on one of the Four Frames ,
this in turn is punched out using the Decorative Label punch.
This is then layered onto another extended punched Decorative label.
I do love these contemporary colours, dont you?

Dare I say the C word?

Last Wednesday one of the ladies asked if she could make Christmas cards, (which she did)
but I thought I had better get a few more done myself.  I had resolved to do at least 2 a month, so now I need to do at least 4 a month to get back on schedule - so here's the first for this month - I'll see how many I can get done.

Crumb Cake DSP is used for the base card - a thin strip of one of the new DSP stacks,
Silver and Gold Glimmer Paper and Mossy Meadow card stock was used
with the Merry Minis punch pack for the trees, baubles and stars.
A Naturals Designer button is threaded with  Gold bakers twine
tied in a bow to finish it off.
This is a revamp of one of my up-line's cards Julie's  from a couple of years ago
So thanks for the inspiration Julie!  Appreciated!

Something old with something new!

Something old - the flourish from the Everything Eleanor stamp set
and the flowers from Flower Shop stamp set with the matching Pansy Punch.......
something new - the stampin' pads in the 2014-2016 In Colours:
Hello Honey and Mossy Meadow
and the matching Hello Honey card stock.
Put them together with a couple of sentiments from Petite Pairs
and a sprinkling of Gold Stampin' Glitter - and what do you get?

This little beauty!!
It's for someone special whose birthday is next month
- it could be you!!

WWWU#11 - Neutrals

It's that time of the week again so I am making an effort to participate early!!
Julie has decided that this week we are to use only Neutrals - now I have no problem with this -
it even gave me a suggestion for the colours for my next diamond silhouette card!!
What do you think??

Colour combo Basic Black, Basic Gray, Smoky Slate and White.
Flower spray from Fabulous Florets stamp set
and sentiment from Petite Pairs.
Does it need a Rhinestone in the centre of the flower?

Double Peek a boo card.

Here's the second card that we made at Anita's on Wednesday - I love it.
Anita made a smaller version for her Convention Swaps in November
and we had asked her if she would show us the mechanics of this clever card.

Card Closed

Card opening
Card fully open.

It's difficult to see how cleverly this card works on the photos,
but what happens is, as you open the card, the flowers slide back to reveal the greetings.
We were thrilled to bits with this!!
Colour Combo is a very simple Pool Party and White - with a touch
of Old Olive for the leaves.
The stamp set is Bright Blossoms.
The ribbon is retired, but is available in the Clearance rack still!
Sentiments from Petite Pairs stamp set
Thank you so much Anita for showing us how to make this fabulous card!

Eileen's Birthday

Tomorrow is one of my friend (and fellow crafter), Eileen's birthday.
She will be 70 years young!.
I decided against putting a number on this card as I was very happy with the finished result,
to have added anything, I think, would have spoiled it.

Colour combo of this is a very simple Silver and White.
The diagonal striped vellum (Silver Fancy Foil Designer Vellum from the Spring Summer Catalogue) )was cut to cover the front of the card with a half inch wrap-over,
at the back, which was stuck down.
Two holes were punched in the front,  1/2" in from the spine and about an inch apart,
and the  Silver 1/8" ribbon was threaded through and tied in a bow.
The Silver Designer frame was embossed then cut out and stuck onto
a rectangle of white card to make the picture frame effect.
The Petite Petals flowers were stamped in Versamark, then heat embossed
with Silver embossing powder, cut out with the matching punch and the petals curled.
The Silver leaves are cut with the Bird Builder punch.
The sentiment (from Petite Pairs stamp set) was similarly heat embossed
using Silver embossing powder, punched with the large oval punch,
then layered onto a punched silver Scallop Oval.
I used double sided tape to attach the vellum to the front of the card
behind the frame and behind the oval where it would not be visible.
I do hope that Eileen likes this - I loved making it!!

Warmth and Wonder, more and more.  I have made several cards using this set
and will post them on here over the next few days for you to see.

The Colour Combo is Pool Party, Silver and White..
The Background paper panel is from the Winter Frost DSP Stack
The sentiment is from Petite Pairs.
Don't know whether you can see the Silver Stampin Glitter
that I poured onto a thin strip of double sided tape.
I am very happy with this card
the piccy doesn't do it justice!

Goodies galore!!

Yesterday morning, before I went out to golf (it was Captain's Day)
the postman left me a parcel with these goodies inside!!

Card from Julie my SU mummy

Six Sided Sampler stamp set
Matching Punch

It was like Christmas morning!
( I was promoted to Silver 2 during Sale-a-bration this year,
and these were a gift from my Stampin' up! mummy, Julie, for gaining a promotion at that time.)
I couldn't wait to have a play with these, but had to go to play golf,
then in the evening we had to go to Captain's night celebrations.
Today I have had a play!!
Here's what I have made with them!!

Other stamp sets used
-the sentiment is from Petite Pairs and the letters are from the Morning Post Alphabet.

Happy Birthday Sarah-Jane

Today is my Stampin Up sister Sarah-Jane's birthday and here's the card I have made for her.

It's another card made using the baby wipe technique. I have used Real Red and Daffodil Delight
re-inkers to create the three colours that have been stamped with the flower stamp from
the free Sale-a-bration stamp set. The leaves are stamped in Old Olive and the borders are punched in Pumpkin Pie card stock with the Scallop Trim border punch.
The butterflies are made using the Beautiful Wings embosslits with Daffodil Delight card stock.
Sentiment from Petite Pairs.

I have had a couple of people ask what the baby wipe technique is - so here goes!!
You take any sort of baby wipe (I use a well known supermarket's value brand)
and fold it  2 or 3 times .  Place it on an OLD saucer or plate (not you finest porcelain!!)
and add a few drops of ink in various colours.  For the card above I put 6 drops of Real Red ink in the middle of the folded baby wipe, then 6 drops of Daffodil delight next to that,
then add 3 drops of DD on top of 3 drops of RR, which makes the orange colour.
I tried to keep the ink drops in a sort of rounded square shape - and it will look like a little ink pad -
which it is.  Proceed by stamping your selected stamp on the baby wipe  and you should get the effect shown above.  If you try this, do let me know and pop it on your blog so that I can see your results!!

Get well Margaret!

Have had telephone calls from 2 dear friends today that warranted me making get well soon cards.
The first one is for my dear friend Jackie's sister Margaret.
The second one is for one of my monthly workshop ladies - Chris (M)
So I have been busy today playing, sorry working, on two get well cards
and I have just put them in the post box so they should both get them tomorrow.
here's the one for Margaret.

The colour combo is Daffodil Delight (I find yellow a bright cheerful colour)
Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive on a base card of Ivory.
I used two of the ovals from the Framelits - Oval Collection to make the
narrow matt gold oval frame.
I used the stamp-a-ma-jig to position the two sentiments from Petite Pairs.
Using the new Secret Garden stamp set, I heat embossed in gold EP the three yellow flowers,
then embossed another image of the centre flower on Pumpkin Pie card.
I die cut the three yellow flowers using the matching Secret Garden Framelits dies.
I then hand cut the centre of the Pumpkin Pie flower and stuck it in the middle.
The leaves were die cut using the same Frame;its set and I used an embossing tool to
mark the veins on the individual leaves. (Don't know if you can see this)
To finish off I applied some Champagne Glass Stamping Glitter in the centre of the flowers.
And that's it - hopefully it will cheer Margaret up to receive a card.
I will post Chris's card tomorrow so do pop back.

Merry Minis

The inspiration for this card came from one that I received from an ex-work colleague
 - Liz L - who used to come to my Wednesday class.
I have not done much with the Merry Minis stamp set and punches,
so this was just what I needed!

The colour combo is Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Baja Breeze and Lucky Limeade
For the background I have stamped snowflakes from the Snowflake Soiree stamp set in Whisper White.
I used a strip of paper from the Festival of Prints DSP paper stack.
The sentiments are from Petite Pairs
I used a Designer Naturals button, and tied a Cherry Cobbler
Bakers Twine Bow through it to finish this off.

Quarterly Training Swaps- Christmas Angel Owls

Today I am in Pudsey for our SU Team Quarterly Training Day.
We have a great day together, do some crafting, some serious business talking - honest,
have a lovely lunch with fabulous cupcakes
 - but most importantly, meet up with fellow Demonstrators and SWAP!!
The theme for today is Christmas - and we had to either do punch art
or use a non-Christmas stamp to produce a Christmas card.
Today there should be 22 of us so I have been busy making these.......
A Parliament of Owls!!

Angel Owls punched, assembled and fitted with wings

Angels stuck onto Labels Framelit Die cuts, Halos added,
 then glued onto base card.
Greetings stamped  on top left and bottom right corners.

Close up of finished card.

Another Scalloped Easel

Having done a scalloped easel card last week, I decided to have another go at it.
This time I changed the colour combo to Daffodil Delight,  Bashful Blue and Pretty in Pink.
Still used Bordering on Romance stamp-set, with sentiment from Petite Pairs.
Am not giving this one away - I'm keeping it for me!!
