Name Badge for tomorrow.

Tomorrow is the Stampin' Up UK Sale-a-bration Tour event in Leeds and my down-line
(and good friend) Carol and I are travelling together to attend this tomorrow evening.
I have made my swaps and only just finished my name badge,
which is a prerequisite for all these sort of Stampin' Up events.
Here it is, I am quite pleased with this.

Very CAS name badge, using the Back to Basics Alphabet stampset for my name
and  Endless Wishes for the snowflakes.
I used the emboss resist technique, by stamping the snowflakes  in Versamark
then heat embossed with White Embossing Powder,
I then sponged on Pool Party and Crumbcake ink on top
and buffed with a paper towel to remove excess ink.
Simple embellishments used - a thin strip of Champagen Glimmer Paper
and I coloured tiny rhinestones to co-ordinate.
Right - must get off to bed now - busy day tomorrow!

Emboss resist with cling film sponging.

Today I have tried a technique a little bit different to my normal emboss resist.
You stamp in Versamark, then heat emboss with White embossing powder,
then instead of traditional sponging, use scrumpled up cling film to apply
the layer of ink on top. It's a bit more of a grungy effect than ordinary sponging.
I saw this on Louise Welsh's blog

Here's what my card looked like

The stamp set used is Endless Wishes,
and the sentiment is from Ornamental Pine.
Colours used are Pink Pirouette, Pool Party and Coastal Cabana,
Sentiment stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with Silver embossing powder.
Two thin strips of Silver Glimmer paper are the only embellishment.
I love this technique - and will try these in different colours.
Watch this space!......

Endless Wishes

Here's one of the cards that I made at our Julies' Jems Monthly Training last week -
I just love this card and the colour combo!

The stampset is Endless Wishes.
Cardstock is Crumbcake  and Pool Party.
Larger Snowflakes and sentiment are stamed in Versamark
then heat embossed with Pool Party embossing powder.
Smaller snowflake stamped in Lost Lagoon.
Ribbon is Lost Lagoon 3/8" Silky Taffeta ribbon.
Thanks for sharing this with us Julie!

Paper pieced Christmas tree.

Something a little different today - a paper pieced Christmas tree.

The papers are from the Trim the Tree DSP stack.
The tree is punched out of the Crumb Cake card, then embossed using the
Lucky Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
Snowflake stamped in Craft White ink and sentiment in Cherry Cobbler.
( both from Endless Wishes stamp set)
This was cased from a Training swap that Carol brought to show me,
can't remember whose it was, but let me know and I'll link this to your blog!

Cased Endless Wishes card

Here's a card that I have cased from my fellow Julie's Jem team member - Allie.

The panel of colour is stamped using just an acrylic block inked with Blackberry Bliss ink.
Really luxurious.
The snowflakes are stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with
 Gold and Silver embossing powder.
The Polymer stamp set used is Endless Wishes.
The only added embellishment is 3 gold sequins from the sequin trim.
I really love this card and have done it in different colours - I'll show you some of them later.

More Endless Wishes

I really am now getting to grips seriously with my Christmas card challenge to myself!
I resolved that I would not be caught out again this year,  making masses of
Christmas cards in the first two weeks in December.
That said .... here's the latest one in the Endless Wishes series.

The colour combo is Night of Navy, White, Silver and Iridescent Ice.
The snowflakes are from the Endless Wishes stamp set and the sentiment
is from Petite Pairs, stamped in Versamark and embossed in Silver EP,
along with one of the Four Frames stamps, which was then punched out
with the Decorative Label punch.
All the snowflakes were stamped with Versamark, then
the large ones were embossed with White EP,
the medioum ones were embossed with Silver EP
and the small snowflakes were embossed with Iridescent Ice EP
The only embellishment is the White satin ribbon - I didn't think it need anything else.
I'm very pleased with tyhis little number too!!

Endless Wishes

Back to my Christmas cards again today - did a couple more designs -
here's the first one, using the Endless Wishes stamp set.

The colour combo is Pool Party, Silver, Gold and White.
The sentiment is from Petite Pairs stamp set, stamped on one of the Four Frames ,
this in turn is punched out using the Decorative Label punch.
This is then layered onto another extended punched Decorative label.
I do love these contemporary colours, dont you?
