F is for Feathers

Fine Feathers to be exact!
This is a retired stamp set, but I just couldn't bear to part with it.
Here's a card that I made with it last year, it is cased from one that I saw
on the Internet, so I am afraid I can't give credit to it's originator as I
never made a note of whose it was - if it's yours, please let me know
and I will link this post back to your website/blog.

The sentiment is from the Four You stampset.
The colour combo is Lost Lagoon, White and Basic Gray.
The white feathers I have stamped in Versamark heat embossed
with White embossing powder to make them show up
on this sponged background.
I have coloured the Basic Pearls with a Basic Grey Stampin' Write marker pen.
I still love this stampset - it doesn't age.

Dale's 40th Birthday

Today is my baby Sis, Anne-Marie's Fiance's birthday.
(Hope that I have the apostrophes in the right places there!)
Here's the card that I have made for him.

A very CAS card -
Colour combo is Black, Gold and Red - on a white base card.
The frame is from the Letterpress Winter stamp set,
stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with Gold embossing powder,
as was the greeting - from For You stampset..
The letters were diecut using the Little Letters Thinlits and Gold Glimmer Paper
and the numbers were cut from red Glimmer Paper.
My photography skills don't do justice to this card, which in reality,
is very sparkly - and the red and gold look quite dramatic against the black.
(Thats why my hobby is crafting and not photography!!)
Think that Dale will be pleased to receive this anyhow!
Happy 40th Birthday Dale - hope you've had a super day..

Simon's birthday

OMG!!  Today is my son's 45th birthday - where has all that time gone??
(Have I mentioned before that I was a child bride??)
Here is the card that I made for him - very CAS - nothing fussy,
hope that the colours are not too feminine.

The background is from the Moonlight Designer Series Pack
the colour combo is Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Smoky Slate and White.
The ribbon is Blackberry Bliss 3/8" Stitched Satin ribbon
the frame is a  Fun Frames Textured Impressions embossing folder,
which is fussy cut out after embossing and the white card is then stamped on with the greeting
( from Four You) and cut to fit the frame.
The Son stamp is from a retired set - "For my family"
- but it is so useful that I won't part with this!
I am quite pleased with this.

New In Colours, Work of Art, Thank you's!

Here is a selection of this months thank you cards that I give to customers with their orders.

Lost Lagoon, sentiment from Four You

Hello Honey - sentiment from Four You

Blackberry Bliss - sentiment from teeny Tiny Wishes.

Tangelo Twist - sentiment from Four You

Hello Honey and Mossy Meadow - sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

All the cards were made using the Work of Art stamp set and the little shamrock is punched with one of the new Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. Where there is a central flower featured  this has been
stamped with petite Petals and cut with the matching punch.

The colours are not true to life in these pictures - they look quite dull,
but in reality they have strong earthy tones.
That said - I am quite pleased with the results!

The first of many!!

I have quite a few birthdays this month, so I thought I'd better get a move on and
make sure that they are ready for posting/delivering.
These two cards are variations on a theme that's unashamedly cased from

Main colour Crumb Cake

Main colour Coastal Cabana

Both cards use the same colours
Crumb Cake, Coastal Cabana, real Red and White.
The little banner is from (SAB) Banner Blast stamp set.
Flowers from Petite Petals stamp set
(both these stampsets have matching punches which makes these most useful!)

Sentiment from Four You stamp set.
Two down - eight to go!!

Retro Fresh

Needed a new design for a man's card today, so decided to start with the
Retro Fresh Designer series Papers and the Triangle punch.
Here's what I made

Colour combo of Tangerine Tango, Coastal Cabana and Baked Brown Sugar.
The only stamping on this card is the sentiment from the  Four You stamp set.
I'm quite happy with this one.

A CAS General Birthday card

Not had much time to craft today - got up late (went to bed late last night!),
Mavis called to see me and I gave her her  Congratulations card - she was thrilled with it!
Tuesday Craft Class this afternoon, just had a cuppa and taken some piccies,
although the light is still poor, and now am here to show you my latest make.

Its a very CAS card that will do for a man or a teenager, indeed, I wouldn't mind
receiving it myself as I love the colour combo of Black, White, Crumb Cake
and Coastal Cabana.  I had been working with 2 cards using Crumb Cake and Coastal Cabana,
and when I came to tidy up the desk, these slivers of card inspired me to
play around with them and I came up with this design.
Not a lot of work, just a little tricky weaving the strips of card and glueing
the pieces where they cross.  So it might not be suitable for a card in a hurry!
The sentiment is the only stamping on this card and comes from the "Four You" set
What do you think of this?

Hello

Hello everyone!!
Here's a card that I made to say hello to a special friend that I haven't seen for a long time.
It's just to let her know that I haven't forgotten her.

Really CAS card, but the paper is beautiful enough to stand alone.
Crisp Canteloupe card is matted onto a white base card,
then a layer of two separate Sweet Sorbet designer Series Papers (Sale-a-bration!)
The sentiment is from "Four You"
Think that she'll like this?
