Congratulations Stephanie!!

Some of my followers will know who Stephanie is - she gave up smoking
36 days ago - so I am sending her a congratulations/celebrate card to encourage
her to carry on with the quitting!!
Here it is

Cased from my Stampin' Up! Grandmother Monica's Blog
I have tweaked it a little to make it my own and obviously it is
personalised for Stephanie.
Colour Combo is Naturals White, Crumb Cake, Marina Mist and Gold.
Flowers stamped using the Flower Shop stamp set
and cut out using the Pansy Punch,
sentiment from Express Yourself (Hostess) stamp set.
Background stamp - Hardwood!  Just can't stop using it!!
Gold Bakers Twine and Gold Sequin Trim embellishments.
Watercolour Wonder Washi Tape.

I am sure that Stephanie will see this, I have posted it today, but it will take a while to arrive with her
and I do so want to cheer her on and share in celebrating her success
in quitting the weed (and I speak as an ex- smoker myself so I know it's not easy!)
Congratulations Stephanie!!

Easter aperture card

I am really enjoying making these aperture cards, so I thought that I would
design an Easter card using this technique.

I am highly delighted with this CAS Easter card.
The aperture was cut using one of the Squares Collection Framelits.
Sentiments from Teeny Tiny Wishes and Express Yourself.
Flowers stamped in Crushed Curry ink using the Petite Petals stamp set
and cut with the matching punch.
Basic Rhinestones for flower centres and leaves cut with Bird Builder Punch.
My Tuesday ladies really enjoyed making this quicky Easter greetings card today.
(Probably as much as I did too!!)

Birthday card - versions 1 and 2

Here's a birthday card that I had to get in the post today.
This is what it originally looked like.

version 1
Colour combo is Pool Party and White
Flowers stamped using Petite Petals and cut with the matching punch.
Circle Framelits used to cut an aperture in base card.
Stamp sets used for sentiments - Express Yourself and Blooming with Kindness

And here's the version that went out in the post

Version 2
I had an accident with version 1 - I was trying to rub off a little bit of glue
off the inside with a glue rubber and I must have been too heavy handed as it ripped
the top layer of the paper and totally ruined the inside of the card.
I cut the front off the card and stamped the greeting on another piece of card,
glued the card front on top of the sentiment, then layered onto a larger base card.
Think I like the second version better anyhow!
what do you think?

Summer Silhouettes - again

Here's a card that I made earlier in the week - not crafted today - just got back from golfing.
Barry and I have been on the Rabbits' Captain's Awayday today at Wath Golf Club.
We have both done well - I came second in the Ladies, Barry came 3rd in the Mens.
I won the Ladies' Best Back 9 prize, and as no lady got nearest the pin,
cards were put in the hat and my name was drawn out, so I won the prize for that!!
Didn't we do well!!

Colour combo for this card is Basic Black, Daffodil Delight and White.
Flowers and leaves stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with White EP.
Stamp sets are Summer Silhouettes, Mosiac Madness and the sentiment is from Express yourself.

Man's card

Chris (sis-in-law) has been over today for our weekly crafting get-together.
Tomorrow she is doing a class with a theme of Cards for men, so we made 3 cards,
and I started a fourth, which I have just finished.
Here's one of them - stay tuned for the rest over the coming week!

Colour combo is Island Indigo, Smokey Slate and White.
Don't know whether you can see that the backgound has been embossed with
the Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions embossing folder.
Stamp set is Rev Up The Fun
Sentiment is from Express Yourself (Hostess set)
Window Frames Collection Framelits
DSP is from Neutrals Paper Stack
White Bakers Twine - dyed  with Island Indigo re-inker.
(You should see the colour of Christine's fingers!!)
Word of warning - when dying Bakers Twine with Re-inkers - wear rubber gloves!!
Really pleased with this one!!
