More Endless Wishes

I really am now getting to grips seriously with my Christmas card challenge to myself!
I resolved that I would not be caught out again this year,  making masses of
Christmas cards in the first two weeks in December.
That said .... here's the latest one in the Endless Wishes series.

The colour combo is Night of Navy, White, Silver and Iridescent Ice.
The snowflakes are from the Endless Wishes stamp set and the sentiment
is from Petite Pairs, stamped in Versamark and embossed in Silver EP,
along with one of the Four Frames stamps, which was then punched out
with the Decorative Label punch.
All the snowflakes were stamped with Versamark, then
the large ones were embossed with White EP,
the medioum ones were embossed with Silver EP
and the small snowflakes were embossed with Iridescent Ice EP
The only embellishment is the White satin ribbon - I didn't think it need anything else.
I'm very pleased with tyhis little number too!!

Endless Wishes

Back to my Christmas cards again today - did a couple more designs -
here's the first one, using the Endless Wishes stamp set.

The colour combo is Pool Party, Silver, Gold and White.
The sentiment is from Petite Pairs stamp set, stamped on one of the Four Frames ,
this in turn is punched out using the Decorative Label punch.
This is then layered onto another extended punched Decorative label.
I do love these contemporary colours, dont you?

Print Poetry with flat flowers

Today it is another Stampin' Up Sister's birthday - Nicola's and here's my card for her.
It's a different version of the card I posted last Tuesday , when I said that
whoever received it  had to live locally.
This is a flat flowered version that will go through the Royal Mail system
with just a normal 1st Class stamp on it - fingers crossed!!!

.

The colour combo of this is Crumb Cake, Midnight Muse and Very Vanilla.
I have used a different sheet of the Print Poetry DSP Stack - which you will be able to order
from the 1st February from the Spring Summer Seasonal catalogue.
Instead of the raised flowers, this time I have used punched flowers,
using the Boho Blossoms and Itty Bitty Flower punch.
(I think it was Laura's suggestion to put the the flat flowers underneath the sentiment)
For the centres of the flowers and the "dots" down the scalloped edge I have used
the waste produced from the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border- they are so tiny!
The sentiment is stamped onto very Vanilla card and punched with the Large Oval punch,
layered onto Crumb Cake card cut with the Scallop Oval punch,
then finally layered onto Midnight Muse card cut with the Decorative Label Punch.
Hope that it still goes through that narrow slot at the Post Office!!

Happy Birthday Nicola - have a great day!!

Inspiration

Well I am still not 100% fit yet and still feeling quite sickly, couldn't decide what I wanted to do,
so decided to look through my Convention swaps.
I came upon this little box of tea lights.

This inspired me to have a go at making one of these for myself.
Here's my take on it.

I simply used Real Red card to make a Pizza box,
punched the top with the Decorative Label punch,
and added the ribbon with the Julie bow across the corner.
Behind the window I stuck a piece of the luxurious red flocked acetate
from the Candlelight Christmas Speciality DSP.

To tidy up the inside of the lid, I cut a card square and punched out the frame
then stuck it on the inside of the top.
Love it!
I can't give credit to the lady who swapped with me, as there is no name on the original box,
but I do thank her for the idea as I have so enjoyed making this.

I would like to enter this in

The new Mr and Mrs

One of my crafting ladies asked if we could do Wedding cards the other week,
as she had bought the stamp-set from the Spring Mini.
I didn't have the stamp-set, so Laura very kindly  loaned me her stamp-set to make them.
Here's one of them.

Colour combo Soft Suede, Pink Pirouette and Very Vanilla.
Stamp-set is Marry Me (retired)
Attic Boutique DSP.  Top Note Die.
Decorative Label and Scallop Trim Birder punches.
Bling - Basic Pearls.

Happy Birthday Gemma

Today is the birthday of Gemma, who, up to last month, was part of our Julies' Jems Team. So just to let her know that we haven't forgotten her, I made her this card. I used a colour combo of Calypso Coral and Very Vanilla teamed up with the fabulous (and free) Sale-a-bration DSP. I cut out Gemma's name using the Timeless Type Junior Alphabet Dies and the sentiment is from Sincere Salutations, punched with the Oval Punch and layered onto a punched Calypso Coral Decorative Label. Two faux ribbons were punched in Calypso Coral using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, and finishing touches of Basic Pearls.
Have a great day Gemma!

My Friend

When we went to our monthly Training at Julies in December we were lucky enough to have a play with the "My Friend" stampset - one of the privileges of being an SU Demo is that you can pre-order these items before the actual launch of the catalogue.
Here is what we made - colour combo is Lucky Limeade with Concord Crush and Whisper white.

Stampers 10 Thank yous

Here are the thank you cards that I have made for my July Stampers 10 ladies.
I have used Pocket Silhouettes stampset, mainly Old Olive and Bashful Blue inkpads for the grass and the sky, and I will send one of these little cards out to the first person who can spot which sets the tiny flower and butterfly come from!

Happy Birthday Chris

Today is the birthday of two friends who just happen to be called Chris - this is the card that I have made for my SU baby Chris B.
Back to monochrome again - very simple - Sizzlets Little Leaves die, Basis Black and Whisper White cardstock and a (now retired - sad to say) flower from the Pretties Kit. Friends sentiment from Just Believe stampset and Decorative label punched in Basis black CS.

Four Frames thank you

Here's a quick Thank you card that I made using the Polka Dot embossing folder on Pretty in Pink Card, then I used the Four Frames stampset and coloured it in using marker pens to match, then punched out the frame using the matching Decorative Label Punch. Beautiful seam binding ribbon in Old Olive finishes it off.
What would I have done without the new Mini Catalogue??

Just what I always wanted!

Well it's here at last - the Mini catalogue - and isn't it well worth waiting for.
We now have... the BIGSHOT Die-cutting (and embossing) system, plus several dies that are unique to SU, plus embossing folders and much, much more.
The card below demonstrates the Square Lattice embossing folder, which I have inked with Regal Rose before putting thru the Bigshot. Isn't the effect great.
I have also used the new "Four frames" stampset inked in Regal Rose and then punched out with the new Decorative Label Punch. I have stamped in Regal Rose tiny flowers using the new "Itty Bitty Bits" stampset and then punched the flowers out using the new Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack.
I really went to town using a load of the new items from the mini on this card.
I haven't decided who is going to receive this yet, so I have left the punched Modern Label blank for the moment.
Right I had better get back to tidying the cubby hole and Utility room - the tiler is coming to measure up for the floor tiles later this afternoon.
