Thinking of you Jan

Today Chris (sis-in-law) has been over to mine and we have made FOUR cards -
well pleased with our little selves!!
This is one that I have made to send to our friend Jan-
just to let her know that we are all thinking of her whilst Patrick is in hospital.
Hope that it makes her heart a little lighter!

The colour combo is Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie and Bashful Blue.
I have used the ink dusting technique for the evening sky and landscape,
onto glossy white card cut with the Top Note die.
The Stamp-set used is Pocket Silhouettes and the ribbon is
1/4" Grosgrain ribbon in Pumpkin Pie.

Stampers 10 Thank yous

Here are the thank you cards that I have made for my July Stampers 10 ladies.
I have used Pocket Silhouettes stampset, mainly Old Olive and Bashful Blue inkpads for the grass and the sky, and I will send one of these little cards out to the first person who can spot which sets the tiny flower and butterfly come from!

Cased (From Crafty Chrissie) Birthday Card

Chris from Chrissie's Crafts sent me a birthday card that I immediately put to one side with the intention of casing it. Now, some 5 months later I have actually got around to doing this card for myself, with a little amendment. I love it so much that I have decided that I am going to make thankyou cards for my Stampers 10 group this month using this design. Thanks for the inspiration Chris.

Cherry Cobbler Wreath

I have tried matting this one on Cherry Cobbler Cardstock - think I like this red better - it's richer. What do you think?

Pocket Silhouettes Wreath

I needed to find a card design that I could produce in bulk as I have so many Christmas cards to send each year.
I am quite pleased with the results of this one.
It is stamped in Old Olive and Real Red on Very Vanilla cardstock, using the sentiment from Season of Joy stamped in Chocolate Chip. This is then matted onto Read Red cardstock. The ribbon bow is Real Red 1/4" grosgrain.
Hmm - I like this one!

Inkdusting

On Saturday I promised to show an example of inkdusting, well I know I am a day late, but better late than never.
The technique is to load your brush (the bigger the better e.g. a shaving brush)with ink from your favourite SU inkpad and "dust" it across the card over and over again until you get the desired effect. The more you dust, the more intense the colour. The ladies on Saturday just loved it!

Pocket Silhouettes

Been browsing other SU Demos blogs today in search of inspiration and as usual Jenny Moors has come up trumps. I have cased this little thank you card and just altered it a little - I love the colours - Melon Mambo, Kraft and Whisper White - so clean and crisp!

Harmonica Cards

Today I have been crafting with Chris (my Sis-in-law) and we have worked very hard to produce this Harmonica card. It has taken us most of the day to cut, decorate and assemble. Here's the fruits of my labours.
