My fairy Golf-mother's birthday card.

Remember the card that I did for Glynis' birthday recently, well here's another
one made using the Blooms and Bliss DSP, this time in a different colour way.
Island Indigo, Mint macaron and Sahara Sand this time,
but equally as pretty!

I made this for my lovely friend Ann, who looked after me when
I first joined the Golf Club, and I called her my Fairy Golf-mother,
and still do!
Have a great day Ann!

Happy Birthday Jackie!

Today is my good friend Jackie's special birthday, she is 80 today,
so I had to mark the occasion with a very special card.

The colour combo is Wisteria Wonder, Pear Pizzazz, and Perfect Plum.
The stamp sets used are the  Number of Years and Stylized Birthday.
The Large Numbers Thinlits were used to cut the 80, then I covered in glue
and applied dazzling diamonds. I think you can just see the glittery effect.
A smattering of bling here and there - and voila!
Hope that you have a fabulous day Jackie, sorry we can't be with you today,
but we'll raise a toast to your birthday this evening!
Happy Birthday!

Glynis's birthday card

Last Thursday was the birthday of my golfing partner from my old golf club at Sandhill, Glynis.
We used to play doubles match play together, and even won the trophy a few times!
Just to let her know that I hadn't forgotten her, I made her this card.

This features the beautiful Blooms and Bliss DSP, which I have utterly fallen in love with!
The colour combo is Sweet Sugar Plum, Rich Razzleberry, Blushing Bride and Sahara Sand.
I just love this colour combo.

Watch out later this month for another birthday card made using these papers!

Happy Birthday Janet

Last Monday, my friend and ex Julies' Jem Stampin Up demonstrator, Lynda, travelled down
here to join me for a day of crafting and we had a lovely time.
Lynda wanted to use the Foxy Friends stamps and punch to make a card,
and I needed to make a card for Janet, one of my craft class ladies,
whose birthday was yesterday - here it is

Happy Birthday Janet - hope you had a great day.

Get Well Soon Janice

Found out late yesterday afternoon that my sister in law (Barry and Chris's sister) had been kept
in hospital yesterday, after being admitted the night before with a severe chest infection.
Following preliminary tests it appears that she is suffering from heart failure
and has to remain in whilst they carry out further tests.
We are just going to visit her, so I have made a get well card that I hope will cheer her up a little .
It is made using the stamp set Pretty Kitty, and Janice loves cats!

Get well soon Janice!

Amanda's Birthday

As well as yesterday being the Jems All Day Training Day, it was fellow Jem, Amanda's birthday.
We celebrated in usual style with cake, Chris and I bought her flowers, and here is the card
that I made for her.

I have combined two stamp sets to create this little scene,
Pretty Kitty and Bella and Friends.
I really enjoyed colouring in these stamped images, it always takes me back
to my childhood,  when I would spend ages colouring . I always looked forward to
Christmas for getting new crayons and colouring books - such simple pleasures!

Jems All Day Christmas Training.

Today I am off to the Paper Haven, with Chris, to spend the day with fellow Jems and of course with Julie my Stampin Up mummy, to spend time crafting, using items from the new Autumn/Winter catalogue.  I decided that instead of doing a Christmas themed swap I would use the Halloween
Cookie Cutter stamp set with the matching Cookie Cutter Builder punch.
There are 13 of us getting together today, and as usual I did different cards for my swaps as I have a very low boredom threshold!  Here they are.......

Vampire!!

Mummy

Skeleton
List of materials used:
Cardstock - Basic Gray, Pumpkin Pie/Wild Wasabi/Perfect Plum
and Thick Whisper White
Cookie Cutter Halloween Stamp set
Cookie Cutter Builder Punch
Classic Label Punch
Sweet Home stamp set
Home Sweet Home Thinlits Dies
Teeny Tiny Sentiments Stamp set

White Craft and Memento Black Inkpads
Brick embossing folder.

I do think that these stamps are fabulous and so cute!!
Don't you??

In the Meadow.

Here's a card I made a few weeks go when I was playing with the In the Meadow stamps.
I wanted to make something totally different, and inspired by a scene on the Internet,
I attempted this using ink pads and an aqua painter on Watercolour card.
I am quite pleased with the effect, but I think I will keep this one for me
rather than send it to someone for an occasion.

Kate's Christmas crafting without Chris!

This Wednesday I couldn't have my usual get together with Chris as I was playing Golf
at Rotherham Golf Club with my golfing friend Andy.  I had played golf with Andy last Friday at my home club - The Waterfront  , then at her home club - Phoenix on Monday and just to finish the week off in true golfing fashion, I played golf at my old Club - Sandhill with hubby on Friday. Think that I am all golfed out!  No more golf until Tuesday, when I play my weekly game with friend Jo.
Sorry for digressing!  Needless to say, I decided that I was going to make a Christmas card without Chris this week, she can do it later!  This is what I made.

I really love the Cookie Cutter punch, I bought the bundle with the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamps
( And I have since bought the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamps too!!)
there isn't a snowman stamp included, so I simply made up my own,
using Stampin Write Marker pens to draw his nose, eyes, mouth and buttons.
I die cut the "Happy" using the Hello You thinlits with Red Glimmer Paper
and I stamped the "Wishing you" and "Christmas" with the Holly Jolly Greetings stamps.
His scarf and hatband were made using stamps of striped paper from my bit box!!
Waste not, want not! I am really pleased with this little fella!
Hope that Chris likes it too.

Happy Birthday Dale!

Yesterday was my baby sister Anne-Marie's partner Dale's birthday
Here's the card I made for him

This stamp set "Wetlands" is one of my favourites  for male cards,
it's so easy to create a scene with.
The birds in the sky have been hand drawn.

Well another month has gone by and we are making projects from the new

There are just so many gorgeous items to choose from!
After much deliberation I decided to use

held together with a silver brad.

Kate's Christmas Crafting with Chris yesterday!

As promised, here's this week's post on Chris and my crafting day together yesterday.
Here's  just one of the cards that we made using the Santa's Sleigh bundle of stamps and dies.
This is Chris's stamp set, as this set hasn't reached the top of my wish list yet!

Really pleased with how it's turned out.

A simple colour combo of Soft Suede, Gold Glimmer paper and Foil card, and Whisper white, with the fabulous gold bakers twine from the trio pack, and the Falling Snow embossing folder.

All the above items are available from the Autumn /Winter Catalogue, which launched today.
I am sure you will probably love most of the items in this catalogue too, it's so hard to decide which one you love the most, I am truly spoilt for choice.
