I'm back!!

Hi everyone, sorry for the absence, but I have been a little bit down of late, but here I am, hopefully on the up again and raring to go.
Here's a card that Chris and I did last week at her house.
The flowers are stamped using the two step stamping technique with the Greenhouse Garden stampset, the stamped foliage uses the Itty Bitty Buds (Hostess) stampset and the punched leaves are from the Two step Bird Punch. Colours used- old time favourites, Regal rose and Rose red

Janice's birthday card

Here's the card I have made for my sister-in-law Janice, using the 5 petal punch, two step bird punch (for the leaves) real red cardstock and designer paper.
For the centres of the flowers I have used dimensionals dipped in Dazzling Diamonds glitter - not sure whether you can see that in the photo.

Here are Kate's Cuties

Here are Pink Punk

The Pink Ladies

And last but not least Pink rabbit and Co

As you have no doubt gathered we had a wonderful day, and some of us played good golf (but not me!!). Thank you ladies - I had a day to remember!

Lady Captain's Day

If you were wondering where I have been for the last couple of days you are about to find out. Yesterday was my Lady Captains Day at the Golf Club.
I had loads to do on Friday making sure that everything was sorted for the day and I had to go to the Dentist late in the afternoon to have a filling. When the anaesthetic wore off I felt dreadful so I went to bed early as I had a full day ahead Saturday.
Traditionally, all the ladies wear fancy dress and the theme is usually related to the Lady Captain. As I love pink, my Vice Captain decided that I should be a Princess in Pink - Cinderella and that she would be my Pink Prince Charmin'. All the ladies dressed to a Pink theme and here are some of the piccies of the ladies n me in our costumes. Bear in mind that we all had to play 18 holes of golf in these get ups too!

This was my coach

And here's lil ole me as Cinderella

Here's my Prince Charmin - Jan

Here are Ann and Hazel who played with Jan and me

Razzleberry buckle card

Here's another Buckle card that I have made using the new Cottage Wall designer papers and the fabulous Rich Razzleberry cardstock.
The flower embellishment is one which my SU mummy Julie gave me, it is made up from 8 punched ovals, folded twice, then stuck together and a crystal brad is glued in the centre. I think this looks stunning. Thanks Julie! I have showed my Wednesday class ladies how to make it and they are well impressed.

It's Your Card!

Whenever my ladies are trying to decide on a colour or an embellishment etc, the comment that I usually make when asked for my opinion is "It's your card!" So I took it a stage further tonight with my Wednesday ladies, and showed them Julie's Congratulations card and told them to use their own colour combination to make a similar card. Here are the results.

Congratulations

Hi everyone. Today I have been busy with the Tuesday Craft Class, preparing for tonights Winter Presentation at the Golf Club, arranging roses in cellophane wrappers with little pink bows for all the prize winners, then played golf at 4:00 p.m. with Hazel in the Competition - came nowhere!! My Vice captain Jan won it - well done Jan!
Anyway, as I have not had chance to make a new card for you, I am posting this congratulations card that my SU mummy Julie sent me to celebrate my promotion to Bronze 3. All my ladies love it, so it will feature in a future craft class - Thanks Jules!

Blender pens & Neighbourhood Wheel

When I went to Julies for our training get-together, I had asked if Julie could show us how to use the blender pens. (I have had these for ages, but didn't know how to use them)so here is the card that we made using the pens with SU inkpads,
It's a really useful card as my friend Michelle has just recently moved house, so she will love this!

And another Sweet Pea

Another card using the Sweet Pea stampset and designer papers - my Wednesday and Thursday ladies made this, but its not as easy as it looks at first sight and there was a whole lot of mumbling going on, but they all enjoyed the results at the end of it!

Today has been Captains Day and it has been glorious. I went down to the Club at 7:45 to set up the refreshments on the 12th Tee (not literally) and the first customer was there just as I had unpacked. I manned the stall til 10, when Maggie (sis) took over so that I could golf with Barry, Gerald and Patrick. Jan (my Vice Captain) came at 12 to help out. I finished my round of golf and Maggie went home, then Michelle came to help so Jan went home. I handed the lot over to the Mens Captain at 5:00 p.m and I am shattered!! I have just had a cool shower, then its back to the Clubhouse at 7:30 for the presentation and a Hog Roast. Yum Yum!
I came in with 37 points which is quite good, but Janet has come in with 42 so I am afraid the pink golf shoes that were the Ladies' prixe were not meant for me!!
Am going to have a lazy half hour now.
See ya

Sweet Pea

On Tuesday evening I went up to my SU mummy Julie's house for a Training evening where we were taught how to use the blender pens. We all made a card using this technique, but you will just have to wait to see the results of that one, because I want to show another card.
My sis-in-law Chris had been browsing t'internet and happened across some cards made using the Sweeet Pea stampset and had emailed me asking if I would bring over the stampset on Wednesday to make some cards with. Now I haven't got this set, but whilst at Julies on Tuesday night, she very kindly agreed to lend me the set - and here is one of the cards that we made.

Sweet Pea and Owl

Here is one of the cards that Chris and I made yesterday.
It is called a Buckle card and we made it using instructions from
Jenny Moors Blog

This is what the card looks like with the buckle closed

And here are two more views showing the buckle open

We used the Sweet Pea designer papers, the owl from "Fox and Friends" and the sentiment is from the Basis Phrases set.
I can see that i am going to do more of these cards as it turned out beautifully, if somewhat faffy to complete!
Right - off to golf now!
See ya

Heather's Birthday

Happy Birthday Heather!
Here's the card I made Heather using the Schoolbook Serif Alphabet stampset - I think that I have inherited a passion for this stampset from my SU Mummy Julie - she likes to use this set a lot too. The cardstock and polka dot ribbon is the new Melon Mambo and I have inked the Vintage Vogue flower in that too. I have matted and layered the Sunny Day simply scrappin designer papers onto Tempting turquoise cardstock first. I do love this colour combination. Hope that you do too.
This morning I am going over to Chris's (sis-in-law) for a morning of crafting, so I am really looking forward to that. Will post piccies of anything that we come up with today. Meantime - have a nice day!

Third Christmas card

Here's the third Christmas card I've made for Craft Class this year, this one is using the single stamp "Dasher", the background is brayered in Night of Navy ink over a 1.3/4" circle mask to create the "moon" and I have added a bit of bling to his antlers.
