80th birthday card

I was recently asked if I could make a special 80th birthday card for a lady who wasn't into flowers!!
I was really stumped but came up with this - using the Bird Punch for leaves, the Beautiful Wings embosslits and an 8 and a 0 embossed in the Square lattice folder.
I used DSP from the Subtles Paper Stack and the colour combo was Perfect Plum and Whisper White. Finished it off with the usual bling.
Hope that she likes it!

John Darren Superstar

This is a card that I was asked to make for a friend's Husband.
He is really into Rock music and loves the guitar.
His friends' pet name for him is John Darren Superstar!
Helen asked if I could make something appropriate and this is what I came up with.

Two for one!

Hi everyone - well I have been busy these last few days - two long walks and a round of golf doesn't leave much time for crafting - plus I have my classes as well.
That said - today I will give you two piccies for the price of one!
Here's the "inchies" card that Jan made at my Thursday class. She needed to make two quick cards and one of them was for a man's 75th birthday, so we came up with this idea - love it!

And here is the detailed bit in close up

Pop back later today and I'll post the next one!

Hopeful Thoughts

Sorry for the very late posting.
Sis Anne-Marie and I went for a 7.1/2 mile walk this afternoon and came home exhausted at 7:00 p.m! Then I had my Wednesday Craft Class, so only just got round to posting this card.
I found out today, that my dear schoolfriend Elizabeth's father has recently died and it was his funeral yesterday, so I have made this condolence card for her.
Once again I have used the Hopeful Thoughts stampset, but I have shortened the branches to fit the smaller square on this card. Very simple, in Night of Navy and Whisper White, and the Polka dot Embossing folder used again.
Don't know if you can see the tiny pearls in the centre of the flowers?

Telescopic card

Hi everyone - I happened upon a telescopic card whilst I was busily blog-hopping on an Australian site earlier this week, so thought that I would have a go at one, so bear in mind that this is a prototype and still needs a little fine tuning. That said I am quite pleased with the result.
Colour combo is Poppy Parade, Old Olive and Very Vanilla. Stampsets used are Welcome Christmas and Season of Joy.

Here is the card fully closed

Welcome Christmas

Yup - I'm back in the Christmas mood again.
My Gilroyd ladies have asked for a wedding/anniversary Card and a Christmas card for next weeks class, so I am playing with these two themes.
This uses the Welcome Christmas set and I have split the greeting over two lines.

Congratulations Lucas

Today our Grandson Lucas has won his first Juniors Golf Competition with a score of 36 points - which is very good (he was only 8 on Wednesday!) so I quickly made him a congratulations card and Barry has just gone to deliver it.
Well done Lucas!

And there's more

Just when you thought that I had got it all out of my system, here we go with yet ANOTHER Christmassy card - this time a snowman owl!

And now for something completely different!

I bet you were all expecting another Christmas card weren't you? Well you're wrong. Here is a very simple, but very elegant butterfly card.
So Saffron and Whisper White cardstock and the Beautiful Wings Embosslit used, embellished with the beautiful but Basic Pearls!

Christmas Bauble

I am still in a Christmassy mood and fancied having a go at this card cased from Monica's blog (see link in sidebar).
Love the silver embossing around the music, and the Baja Breeze does not seem at all out of place.
Thanks for the inspiration Monica.

Christmas Angel

Now I know that I haven't seen one, so I think that this is an original,
(Drum roll......)- A Christmas Angel Owl.
I think that it's quite straightforward how its made - the wings are made using the Butterfly punch, and the background is Serene Snowflakes again.
Hark the Herald Angels Sing!!

Serene Snowflakes

And still on the Christmas theme here is my latest offering, using Serene Snowflakes with Night of Navy CS and Inkpad,Frost White shimmer paint, the Polka Dot embossing folder, and highlighted with Diamond Glitter.

Rooftop Santa Owl

And yet ANOTHER Santa Owl - this time cased from my SU mummy Julie.
I am really in the Christmas mood this weekend aren't I - might even go out Christmas shopping!!

Christmas Penguin

On Wednesday, when Chris (sis-in-law) and I got together, we didn't have a lot of time to craft as we were busy preparing for Chris's first workshop. However, Chris showed me a little penguin she had made and I just had to case it! If you hadn't guessed, it uses the Owl Punch - what would we do without it?
For the sky, Serene Snowflakes are stamped in Versamark and then embossed with clear
E. P.and ink dusted with Night of Navy. The sentiment is from Contempo Christmas.

Stampers 10 Thank yous

Here are the thank you cards that I have made for my July Stampers 10 ladies.
I have used Pocket Silhouettes stampset, mainly Old Olive and Bashful Blue inkpads for the grass and the sky, and I will send one of these little cards out to the first person who can spot which sets the tiny flower and butterfly come from!

Janet's birthday

Tomorrow is my former work colleague Janet's birthday, so I thought I would stick to the colour combo that I used for Amy's card (plus the fact that I had 2 fun flowers left!) and went with the crimped card panels - I haven't used my crimper in a long time, so prepare for seeing a lot of it now!!
I know that I am safe posting this piccie as Janet's not a crafter and therefore unlikely to see this before tomorrow!!

Jan's card

This is (Thursday Class) Jan's response to Eileen's challenge - this time in rich Razzleberry

My version of Eileen's challenge card

Here is my response to Eileen's challenge - she also challenged me to use a colour that I don't use very much and suggested Perfect plum - so here it is!!

Amy's birthday

This month I have 6 birthday cards to make for the first fortnight in August so I thought I had better make a start on them.
This one is for Amy. I have used the Fun Flowers Bigz L Die to cut cardstock in Pink Pirouette, Bashful Blue and Sahara Sand. I crimped 2 of the corners of the Whisper White CS and defined the edge of the crimping with Pretty in Pink 1/4" Grosgrain ribbon.
Since taking the photo I have added a few Basic Rhinestones just to add a touch of bling to it.
