Lucas and Lexie's postcard.

Instead of sending a conventional postcard to Lucas and Lexie, from our holiday
(they don't do them from Callosa De Segura which is where we stayed
 - 25 minutes from Alicante,  nearest town Elche)
I decided to make them one when I got home and here it is.

Front

Back

I used the Post Card stamp for the reverse of this postcard and stamped it in Island Indigo,
Then after masking off the patterned area and border, I stamped the flower from
Blooming with Kindness in Crushed Curry on the right hand side.
For the front I stamped and punched out (using the Pansy punch) 5 flowers
using the Flower Shop stamp set,  inking them in Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry,
Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay and Wisteria Wonder.
I then punched flower middles in matching card stock with the 1/2" circle punch.
I then used some old (Retired) rub ons from my stash to spell "hello"
on the flower centres. The stalks/leaves are made with the Bird Builder punch.
I'm really pleased with this.
I know it's a bit girlie for Lucas, but great for Lexie!

Badge and Prize!!

Had a great time last night in Leeds at the Stampin' Up! UK Creative tour event.
It was good to meet up with fellow demonstrators and generally have a lovely evening.
We all had to make our own name badges for the evening - and mine was a last minute job -
I modified the badge I had made for the Telford Event earlier this year.
I added one of the beautiful Frosted Finishes Embellishments
I think that this addition brings it totally up to date!!

We had a few prize patrols and I was lucky enough to win one of the first ones!

I received the Winter Frost DSP Stack,
a pack of Vintage Faceted Buttons and a reel of the Silver 1/8" Ribbon!!

We also had a sneak peek of two brand new items that we will be
able to purchase very soon - can't wait!!

We were also given a USB Bracelet with the trial version of MDS
(My Digital Studio) that I really must set aside some time to play with!!

We also received the Love and Joy stamp from the A/W catalogue!

All in all we all came away very happy and excited.
I will share with you the new products as soon as I am allowed to, so keep visiting
then you won't miss the goodies!!

Thanks Michelle and Andy

Today we fly home from Alicante where we have spent the last ten days
with our good friend Michelle and her partner Andy.
Here is the card that I have made for them to say thank you for having us.

I used a Twinchie that I had made previously and matted it onto Early Espresso card,
then layered this onto a layer of Pink Pirouette card.

I found this sentiment in a retired Stampin' Up stamp set, but it was just perfect.
I stamped this in Early Espresso on Pink Pirouette, then layered onto Early Espresso.
I am really pleased with this and hope that they are too.

A Wedding Gift for Hooley

My Daughter-in-law Kerry came up with  an idea for one of her friend's Wedding Gift.
She collected phrases and sayings associated with Hooley,
then asked me how to go about putting these together.
This is what we came up with.
We are very happy with it.

I stamped the letters in Black on White card  using the Morning Post Alphabet stamp set
and punched them using the Artisan Label punch.
We then had the mammoth task of putting these together
on a canvas which I had painted with Black Acrylic.
Simon helped us with this task, so thanks Simon - we appreciated the help.
It took us the best part of an afternoon to put this together.
We then decided to die cut the letters and numbers in White cardstock to add the date.
Think that it just finished it off nicely.
What do you think??

I do like to utilise my stamps and punches and so love to use an item for something

Get well soon Shelli

I was concerned to read this news on the Stampin Up website last Wednesday
"Yesterday, Shelli was involved in a riding accident in southern Utah; the horse she was riding stumbled.
Shelli was taken to the Kanab hospital where X-rays were taken and she was diagnosed
with a fractured pelvis, broken wrist, and broken collarbone.
She is being flown to Intermountain Medical Center and will likely be there for a few days.

Obviously, she is in a great deal of pain but wants you all to know she is fine and
is grateful it wasn't worse. Thank you for your concern and well wishes!"
(Shelli is Cofounder and CEO of Stampin' Up!)

I decided that I would like to send her a get well card to hopefully cheer her up somewhat.

I have used a colour combo of Daffodil Delight, Real Red and Pumpkin Pie.
The stamp set is Flower Shop and I stamped this card using the
baby wipe and re-inker technique.

You may notice I have used another of the beautiful Frosted Finishes Embellishments!
