First things first....
apologies for the prolonged absence, and thanks to those of you who
have been worried and contacted me to check that I was OK.
Sometimes, life gets in the way of blogging, and I was quite busy
making my Christmas cards and getting ready for the big event,
I just didn't have the time to blog.
(I have to confess to forgetting to photograph most of the cards I sent!)
Here's one that I did remember to photograph-
it was for my sister-in-law Janice (Barry and Chris's sister).
Janice lives in a Residential Care Home, and as Chris was away
visiting her son Richard in Australia, Janice came to stay with Barry and me
from the 24th December and went home on the 28th.
She didn't want to go home when the time came, she had really enjoyed
her break with us and the family!!
Here's the card I made for Janice and a little bit of info behind the design.
Janice has a cuddly Panda called Ying who normally goes everywhere
with her. We managed to persuade her to leave Ying behind so that the
staff at Bethany House could give him a good deep clean in the washing machine
whilst Janice stayed with us. She has another toy panda called Katy,
and we persuaded her to bring Katy along instead.
I had made this card for Janice earlier, because of her love of Pandas,
and she put it on the dressing table in the bedroom at ours,
so that she didn't forget Ying whilst she was staying with us!!
That said - here's the card -and it didn't cost a penny for the stampset,
as it is one of the free Sale-a-bration stamp sets that can be earned
for every £45 spent between 3rd January and 31st March.
I am really pleased with how the card turned out and Janice was thrilled to receive this!
Hope that you have all enjoyed a beautiful Christmas and
here's wishing you a Happy New Year.
I will post my New Year card tomorrow!!
