Postage Due

Today I needed to do a really quick card for a friend who isn't particularly into
girly flowery cards so this is what I came up with.
It looks like a fabulous collage, but the secret is - it's one stamp, so it made it quite suitable!
I am sure she will love this as it's not too girly - I am sure you will agree.

The colour combo is Night of Navy and the stamp set is Postage due.

Hello Doily

I couldn't wait to have a play with this stamp set (Hello Doily)
and today was the first chance I have had to do just that.

Colour Combo is Sahara Sand, Midnight Muse and White (Glossy) card stock
Stamp sets used, Hello Doily, Creative Elements and Papillon Potpourri
Sentiment is from (now retired Sale-a-bration) Vintage Verses.
I thought that it went very nicely with the doily.

Jan's Wedding Card

Yesterday, Jan decided that she wanted to make a wedding card for her friend.
The colours had to be raspberry and cream, and her friend loved butterflies.
This is the idea I came up with and the card that Jan made.

The trusty Creative Elements flourish stamped in Raspberry Ripple on Very Vanilla card.
Layered on a mat of Raspberry Ripple card,
layered on an Ivory base card.
Matching ribbon from stash.
Butterflies die cut using Beautiful Wings embosslit,
Basic pear embellishments.
I am sure the bride will love it!

Colour combo is Night of Navy and Whisper White.

and the sentiment is from a retired SU set.
Rhinestone buckle from my stash.
This was inspired by Barbara's card here
so thank you for the inspiration.

Twitterpated Patchwork

Here is the card that I have sent to Maria Miia Malmgren in Sweden,
as part of the Post Crossing Handmade Cards swap.

I have used my two favourite papers from the Twitterpated DSP and cut them up into 1.1/4" squares,
then patch-worked them together again and then embossed the piece in the
Textured Impressions Square Lattice Embossing Folder.
I stamped the sentiment from the You Are Loved stamp set onto a piece of
Twitterpated DSP then punched with the extra large oval punch.
I embossed the Baja Breeze frame with the Textured Impressions Designer frames
embossing folder, then fussy cut this out.
The butterflies were die cut with the Beautiful Wings Embosslit die.
Tiny Basic Rhinestones were used for the Butterflies bodies.
I put some spare butterflies inside the card for when Maria opens it - they will "fly"out!
Hope that Maria like this!

Betsy's Blossoms meets Creative Elements

Betsy's Blossoms is a stamp set that I have not used every much,
whilst Creative Elements is used so often, the image has almost disappeared off the top of the stamp!!
So - a combination of well used and little used here,
with a colour combo of Cherry Cobbler, Basic Gray and Whisper White.

The sentiment is from the ever useful Teeny Tiny Wishes.
A touch of Cherry Cobbler seam binding and a few tiny basic pearls finish this card off nicely!
All products used are Stampin' Up!

Bigz Lattice die

Well we are going nowhere today, so I took the opportunity of having a play today.
I am trying to use Stampin' Up! stuff that I haven't used much (or in some cases haven't used at all!)
This is my 8"  x 8" card that  made using 4 of the lattice die cuts,
Two in early Espresso and Two in Baja Breeze.

I took out all the waste from the die cuts and re-inserted it in the opposite colourway
and here is the result!! It didn't need much in the way of embellishments
so I just added rhinestones in two sizes.
The sentiment is from Just Believe.

Today I have made him a card and his wife Liz will take it to him tonight.

Established Elegance

Went to a team shoe box swap at the beginning of March, and there were a couple of projects

This afternoon I managed to finish this little squash book that Chris Chamberlain

Tea for Two

I decided that I really must ink up this stamp set again as I really like it,
but was at a loss as to what to do with it.
Pinterest came to the rescue and I based this card layout from there - changing the colours.

Colour Combo - Regal Rose and Old Olive with White.
Stamp set used is Tea Shoppe.
Paper is  Tea for Two DSP cut with the Heart punch.
Calypso Coral Bakers Twine was the nearest colour to regal Rose so I used that.
What do you think to this CAS card?

Silver Wedding Card

Last week, we had a Stampin' Up! team challenge (Julie's Jems) to make a 25th Anniversary card
to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Stampin' Up!

For the background I stamped the flourish from Creative Elements in Versamark
and heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.
I matted this on a layer of Silver card, then onto a white base card.
I used the Memorable Moments stamp set to stamp the 25th Anniversary sentiment.
I then used the Textured Impressions Designer Frames Embossing folder on it,
and fussy cut round the oval embossed frame.
I applied Dazzling Diamonds round the oval border.
I am quite pleased with the overall result!

Maggie's Birthday

Tomorrow is my sister Maggie's birthday, so I wanted to make her something a little bit special.

to create this beautiful pink colour.

The Initial frame is die cut using the Window Frames Collection Framelits.

Have been playing with a stamp set that I think will be suitable for mens' cards today.

that I had better get a bit of practice in.

The stamp set used is Clockworks.
Some of the images I have stamped in Rich Razzleberry and others I have heat embossed

Secret Garden

Went to Training Morning yesterday with Chris (sis-in-law) and had a great time.
Did some lovely projects, but we were inspired to come home and try out a different technique.

This card is made by stamping the flowers from the Secret Garden stamp set
in Versamark ink and then heat embossing with White embossing Powder.
The flowers are then coloured in using  Whisper White ink (using a Re-inker)
with an Aqua painter.  This is then allowed to dry naturally, or if you are in a hurry
it can be dried using a heat gun.
The flowers are then coloured in with the colour of your choice - above you see Midnight Muse - it produces a beautiful shaded effect with not too much trouble.
The card stock I used was Sahara Sand (which I picked up by mistake, thinking it was Crumb Cake) -
a happy accident as I think it matches perfectly.  The sentiment is from Curly Cute stamp set,
stamped onto on an Apothecary Accents Framelit die cut.
I used a length of Crochet Trim and a couplke of Basic Pearls as simple embellishments
as I thought that was all that was needed.
You can see the card that inspired us HERE on Julie's Blog.
Thanks Julie - love this card!!

P.S.  I have just realised that today is my 1000th Blogaversary-
I have done 1000 posts on my blog today.
To celebrate this event, for anyone who puts a comment on this post,
I will put everyone's name into a hat and I will send this card to the person
whose name is drawn out on Saturday.

Liz's Easter Chicks

Yesterday, Liz, one of my Tuesday Crafting ladies, brought three little Easter chicks that she had designed and I thought that they were lovely, so I asked if I could show them to you.  As Liz hasn't got a blog (she doesn't do IT) she is very happy for me to give her her moment of fame!!

Aren't these fabulous?  They are all made with the Owl Builder punch and Boho Blossoms punch.
I think that the eggs were cut using the Oval punch.
Well done Liz - great job!!

and the chicks cut using the Owl Punch.

Ladies Wot Lunch birthday

One of the ladies in our Ladies Wot Lunch Club - Jean - has just got back from an extended holiday (haven't seen her since the week between Christmas and the New Year!), so I will be giving her this card from us all tonight.  It was just to let her know that we were thinking of her (enviously) as she was cruising on her birthday! It's one of the fantastic Baby-wipe technique cards that I love - so I hope that she will love it too!!
