And another Eva Lily's birthday!!

Here's the card that I made for Chris's Eva Lily!!

This was so easy to make using only 3 punches for the head, eyes and ears.
The whiskers were fussy cut and the nose drawn on.
Happy Birthday Eva Lily Walton!

Joyful Christmas

Today Chris (sis-in-law) have got together and looked at each other's swaps from Convention,
photographed the ones that the other had that we hadn't got, and generally had a relaxing morning.
Chris brought one of the goodies that she won in Prize Patrol for me to drool over,
which I dutifully did.  Boy did I want to win that Prize Patrol!
Anyway, once it becomes available I shall be wanting to do a workshop on it!!
Sorry I can't share any more information about this until it becomes available to us Demos!!
After Lunch we thought that we ought to make something, so I found one of the many photos
that I had taken of the display boards and found the card which I most wanted to make
(as I hadn't been fortunate enough to swap with it's maker).
We then set about making it - and here's our version.

The stamp set is Joyful Christmas
I stamped the poinsettia twice in Versamark on Vellum,
then I mixed White and Iridescent Ice Embossing powder together and heat embossed.
These were fussy cut out- the top one was just the central petals.
The base card was Smoky Slate.
The embossing folder is Stylish Stripes.
I stuck strong, narrow, double sided tape across the bottom third of the card
and after removing the cover strip I applied the fabulous Silver Stampin' Glitter.
The sentiment was inked in Versamark and heat embossed with Silver embossing powder.
As I photographed this from a display board, I don't know it's origin.
If you know who made this, please email me and I will link back to the maker.
I think it's a fantastic card!

Eva Lily's birthday

On the 29th of November it is my sister Maggie's Grand-daughter Eva Lily's 3rd birthday
and on the 30th it is Chris's (sis-in-law) Grand-daughter Eva Lily's 3rd birthday too!!
What a coincidence that they were born a day apart and have both been named Eva Lily!
Anyhow, here is Maggie's Grand-daughter Eva Lily's birthday card that I have made.
(Chris has made the same card for her grand-daughter, but neither of them will see it before the day!)

We got the pattern for Peppa from Pinterest and had to guess at sizes, but we just used
Stampin Up punches to make Peppa and fussy cut her hands and feet, plus the grass.
Happy Birthday Eva!

Convention - Team Swaps

At Convention Team members usually do small gifts/swaps for fellow team members.
32 of the 55 in our Team ,who attended, decided they would take part in this swap.

Here are mine all wrapped up ready to go!

And here they are without their tags and ribbons

And here is the gift in it's little presentation box

Its's a brooch made with my most favourite embellishment of all time-
the Frosted Finishes Embellishment from the Autumn Winter Catalogue.
I have bought loads of boxes of these little beauties and only have about six left,
so I shall have to order some more next time so that I don't run out!!
I hope that everyone enjoyed their little gift as much as I enjoyed making them!

Convention swaps

Here's one of the swaps that I made for Convention (I did 3 types of general swaps!)

It's a little travel sewing kit that I have covered with designer Series Paper, made a
belly band out of the reverse side of the paper, then stamped a Label Love label
in Versamark and heat embossed with Gold embossing powder.
I made 50 of these in various colours.

These went down a treat.

Lynda's gift

As well as making gifts for your downline, you usually make one for your roomie.
I am sharing with Lynda again this year.
Here's what is inside the pyramid box I showed you the other day!

Hope that she likes this!!

Downline gifts

Yippee today's the day that I am off to Stampin' Up! European Convention in Manchester!
I am travelling there with 3 of my downline team members
- Carol, Chris (sis-in-law) and Anita - Chris's downline.
It is traditional to make/buy gifts for your down line, so here is what I have made.

From above

side view

Ta da - inside view!!
As you can see I have made necklaces for them (and for myself)
using my favourite embellishment - Frosted Finishes.
I love mine!
I hope that they like theirs.

Winter Frost Buckle Card

Today I have been making a buckle card - you can see (as the name implies) the
fastening on this card works like a buckle, with the hinged strap going through the slot
on the left hand side of the card.
When I had made the basic card - using Pool Party for my base card
and the Winter Frost Designer Series Paper Stack for matting and layering,
I couldn't make up my mind what colour snowflake and sentiment I wanted to use.
Can you help?
Here are the different combinations

Version 1

Version 2

Version 3

Version 4
These are all different colour combinations of White, Pool Party and Silver Cardstock
with either Silver or White heat embossed sentiments.
The stamp set is Festive Flurry used with the matching Framelit dies.
The sentiment is from Wishing You.
Did you spot my favourite embellishment - I just love it!!
Which do you think looks the best? - I just can't decide!!

Noel Snow scene

Here's another snow scene that I've created, but I think that the sentiment is too big!
(And I can't disguise it cos it's stuck on!!)
I used one this big to cover an ink splodge!!

Colour combo is Night of Navy, White and Black.
Stamp set Lovely as a tree,
sentiment from Greetings of the Season.
Other than the sentiment being too big , I am quite happy with the scene!

Festive Flurry Pyramid Box

Today I have been packaging my Team Swaps, my Roomies Gift and my Down-lines' gifts,
ready for Stampin' Up Convention Thursday, Friday and Saturday this week.
Here is the gift box that I have made to house the gift I have made for my
friend Lynda ,who I am sharing a room with for the two nights.

Side view

Front view
It's quite easy to make, but looks quite expensive.
The colour combo is White Black and Silver.
I have stamped directly onto the card with Silver Encore ink ink pad using the Festive Flurry stamp set.
The small snowflake is from the Hostess stamp set Warmth and Wonder and is stamped in Black.
I stamped the smaller snowflake in Black on a separate piece of card
and cut out using the matching Framelits set.
I then glued this in the middle of the silver snowflake on the front of the box.
I then glued on a Frosted Finishes embellishment in the centr of this.
The pyramid box is held together with the beautiful Silver 1'8" ribbon.
I think this box looks beautiful and I have made it in matching colours for Lynda's gift.
(I'll show you this on Friday, once I have given it to her!!)

Joyful Christmas

Whilst at Liz's house last weekend I used her Joyful Christmas stamp stamp set
to emboss this Cherry Cobbler card with the poinsettia and the Garden Green Card with the leaf.
I put them together on this Computer Generated card base,
then glued a mat of brushed/textured gold card (from stash) in the middle of the sentiments.
I then made two versions of this with different centres

Version 1 with Champagne Glass Glitter centre

Version 2 with Frosted Finishes Embellishment.

I think that I like version one the best - what do you think??

Lexie's Birthday card

You may recall that it was Lexie's birthday last Saturday, and I sent her card
without taking a photo of it!  Kerry brought it back yesterday for me to take a photo
and here it is.

Colour combo is Pink Pirouette, Strawberry Slush. Brushed Silver and White.
Stamp set is Flower Shop, cut with the Pancy Punch.
The 7 is fussy cut, and the central large flower is cut with the Floral Frames Collection Framelits.
I coloured basic rhinestones with a Stampin' Write marker to make them pink.

Summer Silhouettes

I am now getting a little tired of these short dark days!
To cheer me up I decided to do a bright cheerful card.
On visiting some of you Crafty bloggers this morning I came across
which inspired me to make these cards.

I cut a template using the Circles Collection Framelits,
Then ink-dusted various colours across the aperture.
I used Perfect Plum, Melon Mambo, Pacific Point and Pool Party.
I then stamped the various elements from Summer Silhouettes in Black
The first card I then cut out and layered on a larger Black circle
and the second card I left square and matted onto a larger Black square.
These were then stuck onto the printed card.
(The Sentiments have been computer generated onto the 6"x6" base card.)
I couldn't decide which layout I liked the best - what do you think?

More Festive Flurry with Frosted Finishes Embellishments.

Here's a similar card to yesterdays, but in a different colourway with different embossing.

Colour combo is Gold and White
Festive Flurry  and Greetings of the season stamp sets used with Encore Gold ink pad.
Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
Frosted Finishes Embellishment for snowflake centre.
Another CAS card.
(If you needed to post this card, you could substitute the centrepiece with
either a gold brad or a Basic Rhinestone and it would still look good.)

Festive Flurry with Frosted Finishes Embellishment

What a tongue twister that is - but that's exactly what this card consists of!!

Colour combo of Silver and White.
Brushed Silver card stock used to mat and layer both card and sentiment.
Background embossed using the
Snowflake from Festive Flurry and sentiment from Greetings of the Season
stamp set, both inked using Silver Encore ink pad .
Frosted Finishes Embellishment just finishes the snowflake off nicely.
Clean and simple!!
Love it!

Wonderful Wreath

Here's a card that I made using another one of those stamps that I wasn't sure of -
now that I have used it , I know that I made the right choice.

Colour combo is Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green and White.
Stamp is Wonderful Wreath - inked in Garden Green , then fussy cut out.
A small piece of Red Glimmer paper is glued behind the wreath, then this is stuck onto
a sheet of paper from the Season of Style DSP stack.
in turn glued onto a mat of Cherry Cobbler card stock on a White base card.
Cherry Cobbler 1" Stitched Edge Grosgrain ribbon carries the greeting
from the Greetings of the Season stamp set.
Basic Rhinestones coloured with a Stampin' Write Marker pen to match.

Joyful Christmas

Here's a card that I made at Liz's house on Saturday evening.
I saw this on Pinterest and I took the materials up to hers and we both made this card,
(The reason for this is that I don't own this stamp set!! )

Colour combo is Pool Party, Smokey Slate and White.
The background papers are from Winter Frost Speciality DSP.
The stamp set is Joyful Christmas,
the flower is stamped with Versamark on Vellum cardstock
and heat embossed with Silver embossing powder
The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.
The Poinsettia centre is a Frosted Finishes Embellishment.
Thanks for letting me use your stamp Liz!!

Anne-Marie's birthday

Yesterday was my baby sisters birthday
(she's 14 years younger than me so that makes her the baby of the family!)
It was also Lexie's birthday yesterday , but I was so busy making her a birthday tea
for the family, that I forgot to photograph her card before I sent it!!
Will have to wait until I go down to their house and take a photo then!
Meantime - here's Anne-Marie's card.

This is a card that I made at monthly training on Wednesday,
but I just used the reverse side of the DSP as I liked this side better!
If you take a peek at Julie's blog here you can see her original version
and the matching box that we made.
Anne-Marie's pressie wouldn't fit in the box, so I have kept it for me!!

More Warmth and Wonder

Today I have been busy making swaps, ready for Stampin' Up! Convention in two weeks time.
I have now made 36 in two different designs and I will post them whilst I am there.
As a diversion from these, I finished a card that I started at Christines the other week.
Here it is.

Colour Combo is Cherry Cobbler, Pistachio Pudding and White.
The stamp set is Warmth and Wonder (Hostess) this includes the sentiment!
I am getting very fond of this stamp set!  Look out for more samples using this.
I have used Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details for the berries/baubles on the tree.
The paper is Season of Style
and the bow is Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding.

Pyramid gift box

Here is a little pyramid shaped gift box that I have cased from one that my SU sister,
Kylie, gave me as a thank you when she did a charity run.
It was worth every penny of the sponsorship money to receive this little beauty!!

Front view

Rear view

Side view.
I have just added a Frosted Finishes Embellishment to mine
- the original box had a Basic Rhinestone in the snowflake centre.
You will certainly know if you have made my top ten this Christmas
if you receive a card or gift box with one of these lovely embellishments on.
I sit and stroke them a lot!!
Any how - I digress.
Colour Combo is White Silver and Bermuda Bay
Stamp set and matching Framelits die - Festive Flurry
Bermuda Bay 1/8" Taffeta ribbon.
Thanks again Kylie!!

Assorted Thank you cards

Most months I make thank you cards for my customers but I don't write on the cards
and then they can be recycled.
Here are a few of this months assortment.

All these cards have been produced using the Six Sided Sampler stampset
with the matching hexagon punch.
Colour combo is Pink, Black and White.
The flowers are made using the Boho Blossoms punch and the Itty Bitty flower punch.
Basic Rhinestones and Pears used for flower centres.

Happy Birthday Ellie!!

Today is my Grand-daughter Ellie's 20th Birthday.
I showed you Lexie's card for Ellie, now here's mine.
I got really messy making this one - covered in glue and glitter- looked like a Christmas tree!!

I went for a colour combo of Pink Pirouette and Basic Black.
I stamped the flowers with the "Flower Shop" stamp set
then cut them out with the Pansy Punch.
I edged the petals with Dazzling diamonds (but I don't think that you can see this in the photo)
I punched the leaves out using the Bird Builder punch with Silver Glimmer paper.
The greeting I cut out using a non SU alphabetdie set.
All other products are Stampin'Up!
I think it looks quite classy, if a little busy!!
Hope that Ellie likes it!
Happy Birthday Ellie!!

Jan's Birthday

Today it's my golfing friend (who was my Vice Captain) Jan's birthday,
so I wanted to make a special card for her.
Here's what I made.

Front view

side view
I cut out all the various flower shapes for this easel card
using the Floral Frames Collection framelits.
I used the Buttons and Blossoms Simply Pressed mold to make the rose centre
with the White Simply Pressed Clay, then coloured it with a Stampin' Write Marker.
The sentiment is from Petite Pairs.
Happy Birthday Jan - have a lovely day!!

Ellie's Birthday Card from Lexie

On Monday it is our grand-daughter Ellie's birthday and she will be 20
- OMG how time flies - it does make me feel old!!
Anyhow today she has gone to York to celebrate,
so Lexie decided that she would make her a card and a present.
Here's the card she has made.

And here is her present - a door hanger for Ellie's room.

I think that she has done a terrific job on these two projects - don't you?

Calm Christmas

Yesterday I received my latest Stampin' Up! orders and couldn't wait
to start stamping with my new Christmas stamps.
Here's  a card I made using a design from Pinterest -
originally made by Robyn Scherzer

Colour combo is Island Indigo and White
Stamp set is Calm Christmas
Paper from Winter Frost Speciality DSP
Silver 1/8" ribbon.
I did add glitter to the dove, but the lighting is bad so I don't think it shows on the photo.
