60th Birthday card

On my last SU order I bought the Memorable Moments stamp set
so that I could add numbers to my cards.
Last night I had a go at using it.

I embossed the main panel using the Textured Impressions Elegant Lines Embossing Folder
and matted this onto a square of Silver card, then layered this onto a white base card,
To do the birthday plate involved stamping and heat embossing 6 separate elements:-
The frame border, the 6, the 0, the"TH", the "Happy" and the "Birthday".
I was doing OK with the Stamp-a-ma-jig to position all these elements,
but came a cropper when I did the "Happy" !  I stamped it upside down!!
I quickly rubbed off the embossing powder and heat dried the panel with my heat gun,
then tried again.  The result is a bit messy, but I will keep this card as a prototype
then I can copy the design at a later date.
Apart from that little bungle I am quite happy with this card.

  4. It looks very elegant and couldn't you just make another insert to go over the first one? I've stamped upside down before - can't tell from the photo anything is wrong. love Ann x x

  5. One of your very best cards Kate! Love it.....I ordered these stamps, but didn't feel they were big enough for what I wanted, so sent them back. However yours look massive!

    1. The only reason they look massive is probably because the card's smaller!!
      It's a 6 x 6 square base card.
