Magical Season Star

Had a great time at Christine's yesterday and made a great card for Eva's birthday,
which I will show you nearer the date!
Chris has bought the single stamp Magical Season, which I wasn't sure about,
but after I had seen it stamped on one of her creations, it made my mind up.
I will just have to have it!!
I did the next best thing and stamped and embossed a few impressions with it.
Here's one of the cards I made using it last night when I got home.
(I googled Christmas Star and found this little beauty)

Isn't that star awesome!! Its's another of the single stamps that are currently available.
It's called (as you might guess) Christmas star, and it works quite well with the sentiment I think.
The colour conbo is soft Sky and White with silver embossing on the sentiment( Magical Season)
The back ground was done with the Pretty Print Textured Impressions folder.
The only embellishments are a few basic Rhinestones.
All products used are Stampin' Up!
Well I think this is awesome - what do you think?

Paper is from the Winter Frost DSP Stack.

Another Warmth and Wonder card

Here's another card that I cased from Chris's on Wednesday
She brought several for me to copy, and I will share them with you too.
This was originally cased from the Stampin' Up! Autumn Winter catalogue and was simply altered
by using different inks and DSP for a completely different look.

Stamp set - Warmth and Wonder (A/W Catalogue - Hostess set)
Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive ink
Season of Style DSP
Dazzling Details - Cherry Cobbler.
All products Stampin' Up.

Warmth and Wonder

Today (being Wednesday), is the day that Chris (sis-in-law) and I spend together.
One week I go to Chris's and the following week she comes to me.
We usually get lots of projects done on a Wednesday and Chris is a
really good influence on me as she is a"fast" crafter.
She usually helps me to finish my projects and often cuts out or stamps the odd image for me.
Today has been no exception!
I asked if she would bring along a hostess stamp set that I didn't own,
and "share" some cards that she had made for a card class.
Here is a card that she has designed and made for me (as I was way behind - as usual!)
I just chose the colourway and she did the rest.

The colour combo is Island Indigo, Pool Party, Smokey Slate and White.
The stamp set is Warmth and Wonder (Hostess set from Autumn/Winter Catalogue)
The embossing folder is Petals-a-Plenty, which I think is not unlike a poinsettia in shape.
The paper is the Winter Frost Speciality DSP stack (which is excellent value)
Don't know whether you can see this or not but the flower and snowflake centre
have been highlighted with Dazzling Details Silver Sparkle.
Thanks Chris - my ladies will love making this!!
And thanks for all your help today.

Versamark with Silver embossing powder.
The various sized snowflakes  were stamped and then die cut,
assembled together and then ribbon was attached as a hanger
and also to attach the calendar to.
Great work Janet - this will be great for your fundraising!!

A Christmas gift Bag

At the Stampin' Up! UK Creative Tour event in Leeds in September,
Paula Gorry showed us how to make this beautiful Christmas Gift bag
(but it could be for any other special event!)

The Mini Muslin bag was stamped with the Love and Joy stamp,
then the outline was coloured in using a Stampin' Write Marker.
A  length of the Marina Mist 3/4" Chevron Ribbon was fastened onto the drawstring closure
and one of the Frosted Finishes Embellishments was also attached with a length of Linen thread.
I'm not giving mine to anyone - I'm keeping it for me!!

And a Flipping Christmas card too!!

Well I just had to try a flip Christmas card didn't I?

Card closed

Card open
I die cut the card with the Thinlets Circle Card Die and Old Olive card stock.
I "borrowed" Lexie's "Colour Me Christmas" stamp set and stamped this cute little Santa
onto a circle of Very Vanilla card stock, and coloured him in using Stampin' Write markers.
I used the sentiments from "Wishing you" for the front and inside
using Versamark and heat embossed with Gold embossing powder.
I then stamped top right and bottom left with the mistletoe stamp from Simply Sketched,
using Versamark and heat embossed with Clear embossing powder.
All it needed then was to colour the mistletoe berries with a White gel pen
and voila - my first Christmas flip card

Here's the card that I made for him using one of the NEW Thinlits Card Dies.
(I used the circle one here, but if you call back tomorrow,
you can see another card made using the Label one )
I was able to try this one out because I am a Stampin Up Demonstrator, you will be able to buy them from the 22nd October - it's only next week, so it's not too long to wait!!

Card closed

Card open
General view

The flip card base was die cut using the Thinlets card die.
The colour combo was simply Pacific Point and White - with a smidge of Silver Glimmer paper.
I computer generated David's name and the cut out the banner shape around it
using one of the Thinlets dies that accompanies the Card Dies.
The Scallop Circle was also die cut with another one, as was the "hi",
there are quite a few to choose from!

Look what arrived in the post this morning!!

My invitation to the Silver 2 reception for the Stampin' Up! Convention in November this year!!

I am getting quite excited as Convention date draws near,
but I am really thrilled to be attending this special event.
I owe it all to my Stampin' Up! mummy, Julie Kettlewell.
Last  November, we shared a Hotel room for Convention in Mainz,
and Julie convinced me that I could easily make Silver 2
if I worked on recruiting new Demonstrators.
Happy to say that I managed to achieve this in January this year.
In order to attend the Silver 2 reception, I had to maintain various annual and monthly targets
as well as having a downline of 6 Demonstrators.
Receiving this invitation  has been a real motivating factor for me.
Thanks to mummy for all your help and inspiration, and my dowline Demonstrators for hanging on in there
- love you all!!

Colour me Christmas.

I bought the Colour Me Christmas stamp set for my grand-daughter Lexie to use to make her Christmas cards this year. Yesterday, inspired by some cards I had seen on Pinterest, I sneaked it out of her
craft box and Chris (sis-in-law) and me made a couple of cards using the cute images.
Here is the first one.

Great CAS card - three strips of the Season of Style Designer Washi Tape,
Sentiment from "Wishing You" and the Santa, coloured with Stampin' Write markers,
from the Colour Me Christmas stamp set.
Mmmmm............... may have to hide this stamp set away from Lexie!!

Ann's Birthday

Friday was my downline Demo Ann's birthday and I just had to make this card for her.
It was cased from one that my good friend Lyn had made at class on Thursday evening.

Front view

side view
I used Very Vanilla card stock and die cut the flower layers using the Floral Framelits dies.
I then edged all the petals using a dauber and Blushing Bride ink.
Stamped the sentiment from Simply Sketched (Hostess) stamp set - it's so useful!!
and using Versamark and gold embossing powder, heat embossed this.
I punched this with the Large Oval Punch, then, with a Scalloped Oval punch, and using Gold card stock, I cut the scalloped oval and glued these together,  This formed the "brake" for the easel card top.
One simple adornment for the card was a single flower from the Vanilla 5/8" flower trim,
which again I edged using a dauber and Blushing Bride ink.
Hope that you enjoyed the rest of your day Ann!

The sentiment is from Happy Day - would you have guessed?
Very CAS card, but very colourful I thought.
I'm sure that Leo will appreciate it!¬
